This pack:

does contain actual ancient Egyption weapons (except for the 2nd from bottom, which is an Ethiopian shotel).

The top-most dagger is used in the game, but scaled up to be a short-ish sword, which doesn't make a lot of sense.

But anyway, it's fine. I'm sure that Zaton would have superior weapons at his disposal than ancient Egyptian relics.
yeah i loved the shotel weapons , i used to always play the kush of faction because of they have shotel warriors , the last one is a shotel too

Or maybe new blacksmiths that create new styles
Have you ever wondered perhaps if there were advanced weaponsmiths out there that took up camp/refuge in the surrounding deserts and/or settlements of Zeta that mirrored the historical aesthetic of "ancient weaponry" but also applied a more futuristic appeal to the weapon designs to not only retain the old-world charm but to also blend the best of both the ancient and contemporary weaponry style, whilst also giving it that futuristic appeal to it as well  :coffee:

Like we've seen in the mutant's lab how futuristic some of their equipment and machinery can be, so it kinda got me thinking if it would extend to the weaponry as well perhaps?

Yeap, I wondered just now :) Seems plausible.

Actually there isn't that much to improve on when it comes to swords.
The issue is more to find a sword which matches your fighting style.

Btw, I think these packs would be nice for this game, and better than what we have:

Oh well i guess i saw everything.. but WHY cant i interact at least with the last servants in the living room it is so frustrating...
Was wondering if there was a way to mess up their scenes availability but all things considered seems like we just have to be patient

Most swords / machete's / knives / daggers in this game are fantasy weapons not based on historical patterns.

That makes guessing their names irrelevant.

Also, the way they scaled, held and used unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. It's probably the one aspect where the attention to detail (or dev's knowledge) is slipping below the usual high quality.
Some of them do look like they were resized because the hilts on some of them seem huge compared to hand sizes. It's like 2-hand hilts for 1-hand weapons.

Will there ever be a Fan art page?

This game can either be LOTR or GOT, when it comes to legacy.

Fan art reinforces legacy and spreads access to the lore.

It's not hard to make one. Be your own hero.

Forums > Development > Programming, Development & Art > Artwork

First check whether there's an existing desert stalker fanart thread. If not, then look at how some other people made fanart threads then build your own and get it linked on the Desert Stalker OP.
