Not really, cops give zero shits unless it's happening to them / someone they feel like sticking up for. You can't even get them to process rape kits, they ain't bothering with doxing.
I wish a very [REDACTED] on the dickhead who did this.
Probably should say what the piece of shit was demanding so other devs can insta-ban anyone who even remotely sounds like they want the same thing.

wow, i've been on this website for not that long, but already witnessed an open harassing, DM threats, attempts to suspend Patreon account by reporting for some stuff (few are successful), but this is some different level of fucked up mind, what the hell is wrong with some people? and all because of a fucking game?

Discord is a company that is positively engaged in "dark patterns" and encourages really unhealthy parascocial relations. This is a huge minefield, especially if you're dealing with sex. I mean, everyone's wiring is a little funky, but this niche is going to attract some odd brains, at the very least. All Creators should be very hygenic when dealing with it, the C-level Discord people are really not your friends (see their April fool joke - all about that VC cash, your eyeballs and brain is theirs, you're the product).
Sad as well: this was genuinely one of the best VNs in terms of writing / potential, and we never got the goblin sex.
A thousand year curse on whatever anti-NTR smooth brain who had to prove to the world he had no concept of the word "boundary". I mean, targeting someone's wife because you're anti-NTR is pathological: he doesn't need the police, he needs a medical / psych intervention.

Dunno where he lives but yeah, he could press charges. But the whole thing would bring some kind of exposure so I guess he's not gonna go for that, which is understandable.
Does anyone knows why he posted his wife photos in discord? I don't think it's smart to post your personal photos online especially when you are developing a game with porn. Like, all sorts of people will play his game and join them. (Some to troll, some to abuse and some to be creepy stalker)
Ps- Keep in mind that I am not supporting that crack head who doxxed him but I am just confused why he would post his wife photo in adult community that is filled with creeps most of the times. (Who wants to rape fictional characters and etc) It was highly risky and I pray and hope for his safety. Tho, I am sad and mad that this game got abandoned. I'm not going to investigate, but it's more than likely going to be a case where he posted recovery pictures (either in hospital or outside just after the operation) to show his community that he wasn't pulling the usual milking scam and his wife happened to be in the background.
Which, again, is why Discord communities are terrible.

The guy actually WANTED NTR, he was told to fuck off, and then started harassing BHG, that is if I got it right.

For fucks sake, there's plenty of games that cater to almost any kink. No need to try and force someone who doesn't want to cater to that kink to try and cater to it. That kind of thing will only end up being shit for everyone. Fucking hell that person must be absolute moron for not realizing that.

I see some speculation about things, so I'll clear it up as best as I can. This will be my last post on this site as I've already abandoned my discord.
I've had issues with this guy from nearly the beginning of development. He initially wanted me to add NTR (specifically netorare) content for Glasha, I said no. I have no interest in creating that content, and it wouldn't make any sense for her character at all. He got pissy about it. He later came back and sent me some DM's about how I should just do what he wants since I'm already "ripping off Talothral". Keep in mind, this is like 2 years ago or something after 0.2 release.
Since then, he occasionally came back to DM me some random complaint or bullshit. I viewed him as annoying but harmless. I eventually ended up banning him from the first discord because he kept spam asking for NTR content. When I created the second one, I didn't even think to ban him because I hadn't had any interaction with him for months.
The other day, I was talking to someone in discord, and I meant to post a picture of the amount that a pc repair place wanted to fix my graphics card here in Japan. I accidentally chose the wrong photo and posted a selfie that my wife sent me of herself and the kids. I don't think it was up that long, but however long it was, it was enough. I guess he saw his time to shine, and he used that one photo to track down a ton of my personal shit. Social media profiles, old photos, photos of my kids, my old work on twine games, my parents and sister's address. It was a lot of stuff.
Anyway, I don't know much about the guy other than he is a member of Talothral's server. I doubt he has any connection at all to Talothral, other than joining his server. For all I know, he might be harassing him too. I don't know as I don't remember ever having any interaction with Talothral. I also really can't understand how or why he's held onto this grudge for so long. It's way beyond petty, it's psychotic. He hasn't threatened me or my family physically, only to expose us and report this all to my wife's job, which could very well lead to her getting fired.
Either way, this ruined things for me. It's sucked all the fun out of things, especially because I've tried to be kind to everyone I interacted with. Making some fun porn isn't worth the harrassement. Sorry I couldn't finish the game. I doubt I'll hang around the VN space anymore, much less develop something. You can consider this officially abandoned. Once again, I appreciate all your guys who I had positive interactions with, but I can't risk my family's livelihood and wellbeing for a hobby.
Anyway, you guys take care.

Man, that's really fucked. The few interactions we had were respectful and pleasant. It's not just the internet, but the world in general, where I even find myself sometimes slipping into willful ignorance of how fucked up people can be. Like I don't pick up hitchhikers, but, must've been close to a year ago now I saw some dude walking on the side of the highway just outside of town and for a brief moment felt bad for the dude, put myself in their shoes; before immediately reminding myself that I'm missing context and that dude could be a deranged psychopath. Dude might have actually just been in a bad spot, but it's easy to put how unhinged people can be to the back of your mind, I feel.
It's a real shame this is officially on ice, and that we won't get to see him move on to further projects down the road either. It's unlikely he even checks back in at this point, but if you do, take care of yourself bud.
