CG is basically just the images from the game, without the game engine. Someone took out all the pictures and placed them in a folder.

Most of newish games comes with images packed in .rpa files, some new ones though are in web format. so you need to decode them.
Ones in WEBP format you just need to download the codec file that will allow you to view them in whatever viewer you are using.

This was still marked On Hold but no posts to Patreon since December. I honestly can't remember which remake of a remake he was supposedly working on but Marked Abandoned.

Yeah this seems to be a classic example of a dev who thought he had a great story idea in his head, but was unable to make it into a working story/game. One might wish he had written the story completely first before trying to make the game.With another 2 reboots and they are dead too

As he himself admitted, he had an idea, to try to create games, he had no idea of the game itself. Hence all the delays.

Putting the cart before the horse seems to be a common theme with these adult VNs. A lot of people see $ in their eyes like a Hanna Barbera cartoon and jump in head first because it takes time to flesh out a proper story or even a roadmap and some people just don't want to wait to try and cash in quickly.
I get why people feel that sense of urgency, but it's sad when you see games that look promising fizzle out because the dev rushed into it without thinking. This is their 3rd failed attempt at a full-length game, so maybe that's saying something.

Maybe better to start with a wheelbarrow instead of horse and cart.
Easier to roll both ways.
Many a tobee writer have started out writing half a chapter or two and fallen down a well 'cause they'd just outlined a synopsis instead of working up a sweat and getting page 1 and X meet in the middle.
Well the game would of probably of been quite far along in story and content if it wasn't for the constant remakes they kept on doing over and over again.
