First of all, I don't think I'm criticizing your choice of sandbox here. The problem here is how you designed it. I explained this clearly in my post above. You're not giving people freedom. Players don't know where to go or when. They don't have any options. You're just leaving them to find the scenes you've hidden. So people don't feel like they're making a choice if they click on the house on the right or the house on the left. Because they don't even really know what they're doing. They're just looking for a new scene. All my updates are 600 renders plus , feel free to check the past.
Again accusing developers of being stingy over one moron doing that is just something else
Anyway , cool.
Mind you within an year we have a total of 17k + renders and 230+ animations.
But sure , we are milkers![]()
Secondly, you say you're putting in over 600 renders per update. This includes 20 different angles showing the same character's face in the same scene. The character is speaking, and in the first render, their mouth is open; in the second, their mouth is closed; in the third, their left eye is closed and their mouth is open; in the fourth, they open their eye and the angle shifts slightly to the right. This way, you can produce 6000 renders instead of 600. This doesn't mean that 600 renders advance a full story. It just adds a bit more realism. And I'm not against it. I only responded because you mentioned 600+ renders.
Instead of calling people "morons", try to understand what they're trying to say. Stop seeing yourself as perfect. Learn from criticism and think you can do better. Otherwise, you'll be doomed to constantly regress when your players get bored with what you're doing.
Or don't do either. You're selling a product here, just like any other developer, and people are buying it. You're free to treat your customers however you want, even if that means calling them "morons".
