So we went from not much to nothing at all, to make a new game with the same characters.
They have too much playing their own games, it has them screwing up their brains. It's the most stupid idea of the week.

This was one of my first games that i played when i found this forum , close to 4 months ago ; at that time i though it was one of the best and i enjoy to play it .... Of course after i begin to read other games thread and to discover the really good ones ...
But i had a good memory about Dirty Pool , for this i'm really sorry that this game will never be finished , but nothing so bad ... just annoying for me to cancel from my pc this game and all my past saves...

Instead of the first one? Or in addition to the first one?

It is the kind of logic you arrive at when you have no common sense.
And I don't buy it.
I think they took a good long look at the current DP project and realized that if they ever wanted to get this game properly finished, with all variable outcomes in check, it would take too long and it would cost them too much in time, money and effort for finishing up left over content for a shrinking user base after the players left that got their fill on the more populair kink.
And quitting the project halfway through....well, that's just losing face, reputation and of course, Patreons.
They gave us this crap reason so the dev can try out something new while DP is "on hold".
The dev overreached his abillity/stamina with DP and now wants to make a porn comic in the DP universe and they try to sell it like it is a new game. If it is that linear, which is fine by itself btw, it is just a porn story, not a game...but porn comics/story do not rake in the kind of money like the game projects do, a lot easier to produce then an entire game though..
that is just my 2 cents.

I'm more upset with the fools who think that kind of logic makes sense. The patreons need to call out the bullshit when devs do that. There are some devs who work on two games at once and make it work. Whether it's to avoid writer's block or if it's an actual excuse to stop working on something... they never say that it's because the first project requires too much work so they're taking on even more work. If you can't be sneaky then just commit to one game or be honest and say you don't know what to do.

That post is basically "This is hard so we dont want to do the work so we're starting another game that is easier". I dont have much hope for this to continue. If they cant develop 1 game, there is no chance they can develop 2.

Pirot King is a minor Developer , he have actually close to 100 Patrons not more . Probably the project he wanted to carry on became to difficult for him , maybe he lost energy or love for his opera. This it will be not the first time it happens , it will be not the last and the decision to suspend this game to begin just a new one , proves only his confusion and his problems ; but he can do whatever he wants with your work , our decision can be only to follow or not to follow him ; in past 6 month he already demonstrate he didn't care so much about the develop Dirty Pool and last decision he communicated is only a normal consequence of his previous actions . For sure next game ( i've some doubts with his actual skills that he can handle a really good new project ) , will be made using many of his previous characters and renders . Unfortunately the shortcuts in the job never bring you anything good

Personally, I think it's better to abandon this Dirty Pool with useless branches and rework Dirty Pool with 1 linear story instead. Only branching to select fetish ... like if you dislike NTR, choose A. You like NTR, choose B ... or this one for Boobjob or that one for blowjob. Right now, people missed many scene and don't care at all about what their missing. Maybe a bunch of players like to create many saves with different branch, but majority of people only play the game once with one selection, then move on to another game. Maybe Pirot now are testing the water with his new game using linear plot and to see if it has any different result than DP.

I'd give him credit for the sheer number of branches. It actually might backfire, it looks a little too intimidating.

he just aint happy with the number of his patreons so he will make another project in hope his supporters prefer it so he can abandon this one. im not gonna blame him for that, but this is one more proof of how retarded it is to start these big projects with branching paths when its your first game and you have no experience whatsoever.

Now I am at a point where I am really excited to see what’s happening in the version which I am playing but at the same time I am like I don’t want to play because there is the possibility that it might join the list of “abandoned games which had potential”

When i want to play a new game first thing that i look before begin the download , if the updates are regular by Dev , because i wish to have a full immersion with a game till when it's possible completed ; so if i find already a game with Tag Onhold or worse Abandoned , i immediately stop it , also if the game it's good ; so my suggestion to play other games , wait maybe more other news from the author in Patreon , after the summer , maybe in some way he can change is mind and complete the game

Some games marked abandoned give you a good time, and all is not lost for that one

Smells like a remaster again.. Why do i get feeling this game will be abondoned in the end.. and if the remaster wont work maybe it will be abondoned too..
Sounds to me like they ran out of ideas to create for this game and just used this onhold to create another game.

Also dirtypool had some really weird stuff going on like that cop with the ridiculas hair style..
