I tried to crack the english version of the game exe again, this time from an activated exe, and the proper crack turned out to be completely byte identical to the "guesswork" crack: all the initializers, destructors and imports matched perfectly with my "guesswork" exe. Very lucky!
Thus that makes the earlier crack a proper crack. Feel free to use it, package it, do whatever, it should be favored to the jp exe workaround. It should work without the need of ntlea/applocale or similar applications and has the UI translated. There's not a trace of the DRM left in it so it should run as well as the jp exe. It should also be identical in functionality to the official english game exe, aside from starting up faster.
For those that missed it, they can download it here: https://f95zone.to/threads/dohna-do...-final-alicesoft-shiravune.98231/post-6848737 simply drop it in your game folder and run, you may overwrite the original exe or keep it on the side, it should work fine either way.

It's possible due to quite a few implementation details, although even if they had bought the full Denuvo, I don't think they would have stopped people cracking it or finding workarounds, it might just be a waste of their money for them to buy the "full" thing and then the development effort to make it "work".

So is there difference between the version you are posting here and the one that is in the op? I have already got the one in the op working already but want to ask just in case there is something I'm not aware of.

I think the version in the OP is just the jp exe. That one works fine from what I can tell, there are a few small differences:
1) some code changes that convert SJIS (jp locale) strings to unicode, this makes it work without ntlea or a locale emulator/hook tool
2) UI is translated, including errors and other issues
I think the engine is mostly compatible, so if you're already running ntlea and don't mind the jp UI it should work fine. I guess my crack is just as closest to official while the jp exe workaround was just what people on /v/ found to work right away after game got released.
Most people that are encountering issues with the jp version or can't handle that should just use the proper crack anyway.

I'm using W11 and I can't get locale emulator to work for me anymore so i had to just change my computer's locale to Japanese. Did you have this issue or do you think this is just me?
Have you downloaded the latest version of locale emulator? One of the newer builds added windows 11 support mine works fine.

The broken status is a pain in the ass and mentality drops like a shitty altcoin after a rug pull.
The art is superb, sadly I'm not finding it very arousing. Might be the censorship, but I think the poses during the sex scenes are at fault.
Also, the voice acting is god tier, specially Kirakira's seiyuu. What a delightful and unique voice, man.

Wow. Music and art are absolutely amazing, better than most triple A games released this year, it's obviously the reason this has more downloads in three days than Rance Quest, which released back in April. I don't care for the porn but the characters are so fun. Hustling is a deceivingly simple mini-game that has a decent amount of depth to it. This would've been easily a top 3 AS title, but, alas, it's very poorly balanced. Combat is piss-easy most of the time, it wouldn't be that much of an issue if combat wasn't such a big chunk of the game. It really needs the TADA treatment Rance Quest received, some tweaking and balancing will tremendously enhance the experience, well for me at least.

Gonna hold off on writing a review until I've completed the game but damn, what a fun experience and addicting gameplay loop. Didn't like the prostitution parts at first but once I found a few of the girls with unique events and understood how to utilize items a little more efficiently (especially realizing that dumping old/broken talent for new is inevitable and even encouraged), I started enjoying everything much more.

Think I actually burnt out on this game super fast. I actually like some grind in my rpgs (I leveled every character in Rance Quest), but the game doesn't really do anything new after a few episodes. After farming all the level 2 weapons for the characters, I haven't been playing much. Bit more shallow/repetitive in the gameplay department than I figured/hoped. Kind of feels like this game rides heavily on the player being interested in the characters and their interactions enough to continue playing. The story is pretty meh so far.
Started off seeming like a pretty unique/great game but it's slowly creeping into mediocre territory for me (Outside the awesome art of course) before I've even hit the mid chapters. I think I can power through it and finish it eventually unlike a lot of games I've dropped since it's pretty simple and not too obnoxious to play or anything, but I'm not sure I love it anymore.
I feel like I should warn people not to farm too much in the game, because so far nothing really is added to the game. If you farm early, you're still going to be doing the same shit for quite a while when you're done farming whatever you're aiming for. Like I farmed all the tier 2 weapons, 100% all the maps, and was farming traits for talents for a while and now I'm just like "Ok, there's nothing really to do now", lol.
Woulda been nice if the prostitution money was more important. For the most part, prostitution money is just spent on making prostitution better. It's kind of a closed loop. If you want items, it's easier to farm most of them (Especially contraceptives). Only thing you really NEED to buy from the shop is the weapon upgrades. Everything in this game feels like it has potential but it doesn't really go anywhere, wish they fleshed out a lot more of the systems. One of Alicesoft's weaker games so far imo.

After about 30 hours of playing my opinion remains mostly unchanged. I really like the setting, characters (except Torataro), story and most of the gameplay even though it's pretty simple. Still disappointed about the lack of animation and the sex stuff is definitely the most boring part of the game. I actually started to just skip most of the sex scenes because they are so fucking boring. This game would actually be better without the sex stuff.
I have the legit version and have never used locale emulator on anything (well, I tried it once, but still) so not the person to ask.
