Well, there was a plot that the protagonist was caged by Katrina right? I have two things not able to find out:
Is it possible to get back to the cage in time, when you sneak out to hear her coming?
Is it possible not to drink the potion (get to lv 17), but only wait until she drinks it herself?

No to both of those from what i remember.
Its essentiallly the prologue for the game and a necessary thing that has to happen.

Think so, but I was supposing a plot that the hero just watching Katrina getting unstoppable and thus leads to an end of the story.

Oh no I beated Katrina on the third time I fight her (first time after she asked the hero to get some better equipments) so that I don't have access to the skill surrender!
the update will probably be the end of this month or the first week of next month, the delay was probably because of the update in sunny coast college (I think)
