I have the same problem, the game locks up when Jane tries to talk to the shop keeper.
If it helps, I'm playing a new save on v0.08 and on an all-Morality path. Depravity = 0, Morality = 20.
Nah, don't bother, there's no real action. (And she still can't talk to the shopkeeper with her cousin.)
She gets dressed up for action (like the slutty secretary outfit), but then talks her way out of anything lewd. And now there are lewd events that I can't do even if I wanted to, because they now require a minimum amount of Depravity > 0.
I expected this to be the case, but I played this path just to see how the dev would keep her out of trouble. So far he's doing a good job of letting her use her smarts and not having to parachute saviors in.
The game freezes and crashes randomly between transitions or if left idle for a few minutes.
It's annoying to play like this. I will delete it and maybe try it some other time.

Dear Patrons,
Hope everyone is doing well. I am here again to let you guys know how much progress I have made so far. I am happy to say that things are going pretty smoothly. I have done one event from the “Odd Neighbors'” quest line, and one from “Grandpa Figure” quest.
As I mentioned before, four of the most popular quests will get new contents. My plan is to have at least two events for each quest. Which means, there will be at least eight events. Although it may change in the future. I will keep you guys informed if that happened.
I have also finished working on one mini quest, which has two events. My plan is to add small events all throughout the map. Which will make the game world more lively and give the player plenty of things to do.
This is all the news I have for you right now. Thank you for waiting patiently and supporting me. I will be seeing you soon, when I have more news to share. Until then, stay safe and take care.
the game needs a ´remembering room¨ or someting like that oficial or not. just some way to get back and watch some scenes.
I wonder if the quest that never get a chance to become popular because they never got past the establishment phase will ever get an update too. Dirty secret is really shelved since the beginning, guess that won't change since that one can't be one of the popular ones, since, and I know I repeat myself, never really started.
I also think throwing in the new Pub Whore quest and then not doing anything with it might be the next thing I will just roll my eyes about.

I'm not a fan of shota or overt blackmail content, so I'm not unhappy that the Dirty Secret quest isn't advancing, but I do recognize your point that dangling plots start to become conspicuous after a while. Especially in a progressive corruption game like this - if other plots have advanced to the point that she's a cam whore or a stripper (e.g. high depravity) when the kid next tries to blackmail her, she'll just laugh at him and give him a signed print of her headliner poster.
Some devs that make content based on user votes use a system where the winning selection(s) from the previous vote is/are not eligible in the next round as a way to encourage all paths to progress.
On the other hand, if Aperture is not making the shota path because it doesn't interest them, then it's probably better if it just gets closed off.

Disclaimer: So I’ve played for a while for the first time and have some thoughts. Some of my criticism may be unnecessary or further in the content I’ve yet to see. I’m not trying to be overly negative but I like the game and have opinions on how it could be more and I realize it’s still fairly undeveloped
I have to say this game is promising but suffers in the way a lot of corruption porn games do. Namely messy corruption with a lack of slow progression. When you watch a hentai and the girl is getting raped/blackmailed and starts enjoying it quickly, that’s expected because of the runtime. However when you title a game Downfall: A Story of Corruption I feel like you’re creating a game with focused fetishes and these fetish fans will have certain expectations. With a game it would be nice to build the tension and discomfort longer and slowly corrupt for the greater payoff otherwise the games title is a bit of a tease. Maybe some of these things can or will be smoothed out further in production but I’ll give my criticism and what I think could make this game better. To save space since this is a long post I’ll start using spoilers.
Now for actual storylines.
I haven’t got much to say about the warehouse storyline, it’s pretty good so far. Same with the Uncles story and I haven’t gotten too deep into them but the gangster stuff seems promising. That humiliation scene early on was well down would love more of that. Besides the old man and the psychologist I don’t have much to criticize yet.
People who like blackmail, corruption, rape, humiliation etc like the darkness. They want to wait a bit, soak in the harsh aspects. A character that gives in too easy goes against the whole worth of a corruption game and sadly having your main character orgasm left and right really takes away from the build, the experience as a whole. We have enough games where the characters are sluts from the start, if someone is looking for corruption then they will likely agree with what I’m saying. It’s a shame how quickly the darkness gets shoved to the side despite that being the part Of the fetishes that makes it unique and enticing to explore.
I would love it if there were at least two paths for our main character, ideally three. One where you completely let go which is the current path and feels like only path, a path of high depravity. One where you use your competence/brain to come out of your hard times in the end, basically a path of higher morality than depravity. And then the gooey middle path where you combine your brains, your newfound slut side and get a best of both worlds kind of character. Probably too ambitious but at least it would make it more of a game instead and justify the RPGM. Plus I like the main character and think it would be fun to play into her being a compentant protagonist.

not sure about the neighbours. the hole thing feels a bit too forced and i still think both should look a bit older.
but i do like the porn"star" and grandpa figure routes. hope to see her getting fcked by that old porn producer and "grandpa" soon
Pretty good game. MC is really hot and corruption is done quite good I guess.
The problem I got is that I don't like ugly characters and I wanted nothing to do with that old alltime naked pervert at least (well, while still doing questline), so I chose only one depravity choice in all his quests at first (the one where MC watched him fucking a whore) and with that I couldn't have enough depravity points at some point to chose slutty option (the one with catching a thief) unless I reloaded and made 1 more red choice with that old idiot. And later I didn't have enough points at nude shoot so I had to change the value by editor (thankfully someone provided it a few pages back.
So my point is that either depravity requirement should be lower or there should be more options to get depravity so you don't end up not having enough if you don't like only 1 questline. I understand there will be more quests later as few of them marked in the questlog as for future updates, but now it is that there are not enough.
Quite a few typos here and there, some of them repeating over and over again at the same words. Multiple sentence about how "mc tried to swallow all the cum, but some was still coming out of the corners of her mouth" was all feeling very repetitive. And regarding the last quest with neighbours,
