Blue is Love for the wife red is Hate.. you can tell her you cheated which is blue otherwise and then red to take it to your grave and lie your little butt off to her..
I think it's the other way around
Blue = Honest = Love but no sex (unless you didn't cheat)
Red = Lie = Sex in the tub.

Oh, I see. I didn't realize it notified while that menu was there still. That might need to be reported to RomanHume, if it hasn't been already. It should be an easy fix (either delay the notification until you choose End Sex Scene or have the notification display on top of the sex menu).
