To us, pennies matter. It all adds up in the end and we are grateful for any amount someone is willing to invest in our project.

And actually, we have Wawa here and a $1 coffee there ain't bad at all. Jokes aside though, each of us is employed full-time and have careers we are quite happy with. So any money invested in our project, goes right back into it. Hardware upgrades for future animations, faster renders, etc. Digital assets like models, locations and training videos.

One day we might have enough Patreon income to hire a full time coder which would allow us to focus on story development, but for the time being, all income gets reinvested directly in the project. Something we hope people feel good about.
For the record - go get yourself a $1 coffee on me ;)

Keep up the great work, looking forward to where you go from here. Based on what you've given us, and your level of engagement, I consider it money well spent on my part and a great future ahead of you.

Number 7 is the number of perfection, security, safety and rest.
In the Tarot, seven is the card of the Chariot. The Chariot is symbolic of the need to focus. But be careful, reversed it signifies inabilities to see things through.
XD
Then we shall do our bloody best not to reverse it. =)

We appreciate symbolism. So much so that we called our fledgling company Ianvs after the two-faced Roman god of beginnings and new endeavors. We also went live in the month of January which it is traditionally though takes it name from Ianvs (Janus) as the beginning of the new year. We figured we'll take all the auspicious omens we could make.

Glad to know that the selection of seven was unknowingly auspicious as well!

just make sure to have a female mc someday, so you can explore the abyss of the female brain :HeyGuys:
So I'm going to answer this one personally and not on behalf of the team, but I have found it personally difficult to write stories from a female perspective. For me it is one of the greatest challenges of my writing. As you put it, "the abyss of the female brain" is a very complex place. (Various debates about a range of topics over the years with my wife have revealed this to me).

I think this is a very important topic though that deserves a highlight. So I know Dark Silver recently took a lot of flak because they are changing their MC to female. The popularity of this choice seemed pretty split. Some patrons loved it, some hated it. In the end I see us tackling this in one of two ways:

1. Patron feedback strongly suggests we make a story featuring a female MC
We might likely hire a female writer to draft the dialogue and thoughts of the MC while we co-author the plot lines, supporting characters, write the coding and produce the renders. The pros of this option are that the female perspectives in the game aren't being potentially ruined by a male filter. This also allows us to stay involved in the story development, and produce game play and visuals that are consistent with the rest of our library.

2. Patron feedback strongly suggests we do not make a story featuring a female MC
We might seek out a writer or dev who would want to independently make a series of stories feature a female MC that plays into the Amana series we are creating. Same gameplay, same render quality, same themes, but a different team. This would allow us to develop both types of games simultaneously and keep all audiences on board with our projects.

In truth it's still a little early for us to make any solid choices about this. First, we don't have enough patreon support to hire anyone. Second, we haven't even finished our first game yet. But these are things we've thought about.

What is the difference between 0.7.1 and 0.7.5?
i'd prefer not to play 0.7.1 if there is significant content difference, and wait for 0.7.5 instead
0.7.5 contains tier 5 bonus content.

This bonus content so far has only included alternate clothing for characters in different scenes. The overall story content, dialogue choices and outcomes remain the same across both versions.

But writing women is easy!

So, I`ve been thinking about the dominance thing. Usually I like to play a nice guy (I never managed a single real renegade playthrough in any of the Mass Effect games), but when it comes to a woman like Nanami, I tend to go for dominance, as any other options would lead to her ruling over me (which is something I really, really dislike).

What I´m trying to say is, that I wouldn´t want to be locked in a submissive role with her, just because I`m being nice to all the other ladies.

As far as I've seen it all the relationships are different cases, I also went the nice guy route with most ladies, only occassionally going for the more straight forward approach (Cassie for example), but with the boss lady I went dominance and they don't seem to influence each other, so I'd say you're good to go.

I know that's the case so far, my point was about what happens in the future.

No, the nice guy/ tough guy points are character specific. So you're nice guy / tough guy status with Nanami will be different than your nice guy / tough guy status with Emily, etc. Just like in the real world, you can behave differently among different groups of people. The shit I say and do around my friends isn't the shit I say and do around my job. Hence these two groups have different opinions of me, and our game functions the same way.

There may come a time in the future where a cross-over scene with multiple characters may carry some side-effects like you are talking about, but if you've gone a long way down a particular path, then those scenes won't be enough to derail you from your previous choices.

Oh and I'm like you, I've never gotten through a pure renegade play through...Lol.

I can't even bring myself to steal from poor people in Elder Scrolls when playing a thief.

When can we expect v.0.8 released? :)
View attachment 75158
Hopefully very soon.

We are still waiting for seven more images to render. Monica's dark skin and the dimly lit scenes took longer to render than we originally anticipated. So that sucked and threw us off schedule by several days.

But on the upside, while waiting for Monica's scenes to jam through the machine, we managed to write and code Lupita's next scene. Writing is being done on Emily's follow-up as we speak. So after we complete Monica's distribution, we may only be looking at a week before v0.9.0 is ready. Little bit of a silver lining.

Wish I could figure out why my banner stopped showing in my sig though...that's kinda frustrating.

Cheers.

Bizarre. Anyone know why I can't put a link to our webpage in our signature?
Any attempt to replace the image or the link results in the "http://<removed>" link to pop up. ;)
