I appreciate the clearification and your fast reply. As I've said (now numerous times) you're worth the support nonetheless. My only complaint with the game so far is my own lack of restraint, I should wait 4-5 updates at a time between playing since the updates are quite short but I can't help myself.. I blame you guys for a somewhat addicting game ^^
My only complaint so far is that I don't find Monica that interesting of a character. Still play through it while in development but someone I will skip through when more content is available.
But then again, I really like Emily, Cassie, Jane, Lupita and even Amanda (what has come so far at least) so I'm entertained even though I will skip one character
P.S. Am I the only one that always reads the title of the game as Dr.AmanDa instead of Dr.Amana? Or am I getting to drunk?... Probably the latter.

I'm stuck at work so no games and no drinking *sigh*Looking forward to getting off work and trying it out. I will say you guys are second to none when it comes to communication. I knew all your activity here, but since pledging I've seen you're also very active on your patreon posts. For every 1 post by another creator there are usually 2 to 3 from you. Major kudos and a hearty recommendation to anyone else thinking of pledging. This game is made by good people, and there's great progress - small on a per update basis maybe, but consistent and of quality, and pretty much something for almost everyone

any change log ?? I mean in the description ends yes the change log at v5.1 ..... is the "update" again only cosmetic ?? and no story?

I'd be interested to know if your disinterest in Monica is related to the model we've chosen, or the girlfriend storyline itself? We've tossed around the idea of recasting her model for the beta. But before we do that we want to get enough patrons on board to host a vote. We don't want to make such a change based on the opinion of only a handful of players. We figure at around 70 patrons, accounting for patrons that won't respond to the poll, we'll have a strong enough player sample to make an informed change.
First, thank you for your support! Every dollar goes back into the game. We spent about $300 on new models just for Monica's scenes to build the sets we wanted. So rest assured that this early in development, your contribution is truly being invested in the game.
Second, as a patron of other developers, I dislike a lack of information on development. I love DMD. It was my introduction into this world of adult VN's. But the lack of communication from Mr. Dots over the last few weeks has lead to an explosion of theorizing, speculation and miscommunication across a number of forums. We feel that communicating with our players is not only cheap, but easy. Why not do it.
We also feel that as patrons and non-patron players, you should have some real input on the product. When you talk, we listen. And if for some reason we choose not to run with a suggestion, our audience is small enough that we can have a real conversation about it. To me, talking with players is one of the most amazing parts of the process.
Thank you for pointing this out. Since we didn't post the game here we don't have access to OP to change any of the details there. We have to rely on helpful admins and uploaders to assist us with that (which they have been very excellent about).
Each update includes an additional scene not included in the previous version. Maybe along with a new description, we'll start including an update to the change log that just details how many scenes each character has. This will allow you to quickly see which character stories have been expanded.
But to answer your question, with the exception of a single update we did a few versions ago to fix a game breaking bug, all new versions have new content.

and then I am pleased to hear that there are still devs who do not rest on cosmetic updates and also bring correct content, then I'll go to the game and play it
@RomanHume for me personally the model is the issue with Monica, will definetly partake in voting if it comes to that. Can't get past that face, it's the stuff of nightmares.. which is strange to me since the rest of the "cast" is some of the better looking of any game I've tried so far. But to each his own and I might be in the minority on this one.

Just for background, our "alpha" is really the 'first draft' of our story. We know how we start, and we know where we to end, we are just exploring the story in between during the alpha. When we hit beta, we'll fix underlying mechanics, finalize models and scenery, and increase the render count to flesh out the whole story. Unless there is a game breaking bug, we won't do much 'tweaking' at this point because parts of the story may change during beta.

That's good to know. The funny thing I've noticed about Monica's face, is that from some angles she beautiful, from others, not so much.
One of the deciding factors on her selection was the darkness of the skin tone. I loved the depth. A lot of other black models were too light in my opinion. But my opinion does not rule all. So far, we have had a lot of feedback that her character is great, but her model is not.
In our next game, we are going to do a character casting from minute one. We'll put up three or four possibilities for each character and let the players choose who gets the part. In this game, I think we'll host a poll regarding whether or not a character needs recast, and if so, we'll offer up some options.
So far it seems like Monica is the only candidate for recasting.

It is. We only have two months of production under out belt. We estimate each character will have about eight to ten scenes total before the end. So while some characters may burn slower than others, that slow burn is only going to last a few updates. We want the bulk of the story to occur during the relationship with the characters, not the build-up. So while Cassie may burn slower than the other characters for story purposes, we plan for her to be in a full blown relationship with Roger by update five. So in a few more updates we should be balls deep in all of the characters and their related drama.If I have to say 1 thing about this game it's short, but the story is pretty good.
That is good information. We were very conscious about trying to select characters that weren't "mainstream" and to then make a few modifications to differentiate them from future, as you put it, saturation.
But we have only played a fraction of the games out there and had not, as far as I can remember, come across Monica's model before. So it's good for us to know that she's an established model that's already played a lot of parts before. It's just one more reason to seriously consider her replacement.
