What is this "auto-coding?"
Sorry, I just jumped into the last page and feeling lazy. Did you develop some crazy new technology?! Anyways, I'm really glad to hear that an update may be on the horizon. Love this game
During the summer when everyone was stuck in the house and I couldn't get enough peace to work on the art, I spent my development time breaking apart and restructuring renpy to help eliminate save breaks going forward.
At the same time, I wrote hundreds of lines of python script that takes my story text and codes all of the images, music, choices and sound effects and inserts all the appropriate renpy code it needs and puts it in the game.
Each image takes approximately 12+ lines of code. Now I run my script and all of that is generated automatically and it saves me hours and hours of coding each week that I'm building content.
So now my only job on this game is writing stories and making images and it has sped up production tremendously.
The content I've created in the last 8 weeks would have probably taken closer to 10 or 11 weeks if I had to code as I was going.
"Auto-coding" is just a generic term I use to describe my python
