I know I havne't been very actively lately. Been precariously balancing stolen time from work with work on the game. =D
That said, I'm going to try and take some time this afternoon to look back through the thread and respond to any questions I have neglected.
And I figured I'd throw you all a bone for being so patient with me. I know it's not easy some times when waiting stupid long periods of time between releases, but I have to say, I don't get flamed for it nearly as much as some other developers. And I thank you for that! Seriously, it doesn't go unnoticed.
So as a token of thanks, I'll throw you guys you're own exclusive spoiler from the coming chapter. Enjoy mates! Salute!

To be honest a big reason for that is probably because you're so active in giving updates on your progress. You have a really high quality VN and you giving regular updates on your progress helps people see that it's still being actively worked on. Keep up the good work, I really look forward to seeing what the next update has in store for us.

100% true especially considering those updates haven't ended up being lies *cough*SarahCity*Cough*. Getting to see the process through the live-streams eliminates that as a concern. Those streams also have grounded the time-sink for creating a scene.
To be honest, when this game was having early problems when it was a "team", I wrongly believed that the updates from RomanHume were the typical dev bullshit. While I only thought that (and didn't cry in this thread), I still think any rational person would have given up from all that frustration and seeming failure - so much retrospect respect.
If/when he gets an alternative to Patreon, I'll financially make up for my lack of faith.

That looks like the face of a girl who got an unexpected mouthful. And perviness aside - man, I love the detail on the hair. 10 years ago folks called us batshit for wanting those fine hairs rendered.
We're just glad you're here and communicative, RomanHume. I just hope you don't hate folks like me who always play the game muted, which hides a lot of that background effort. It's not you, I promise - it's me. I haven't been able to tolerate music in the games I play since the late '80s, I mute that stuff out first thing. That way I can fire up Megadeth or whatever else floats my boat at the time.

2020-09-29 News
Damn, I guess it's already time for another news brief. It'll be short, I promise.
Why's it short? Because there's not much to report, and that's a good thing!
Every minute I've spent working on the game for the last two months has been spent either writing story or making art!
I've settled into the new groove and production is finally moving along at a faster pace than ever. Render time has gone up, but render quality is as good as I can make it.
Because of the new "no need to code" process, I can set up and do a live stream in about 10 minutes. Previously there was planning, and coding, and all kinds of stuff that needed done before I was ready to do live work.
Not anymore. Now it's just open the files, make some notes as I go, and crank out the art! We've done several live streams and I look to continue doing those so you can see progress happening in real time.
My goal this week is to do a live stream every day and wrap up Friday with another 5 hour stream.
That's pretty much it in a nutshell. Nothing happening except content creation and I look for it to remain that way for the indefinite future. It took some time getting things set up to this point, but I think we've made it!
I'm coming up on the half way point for Cassie's next chapter and should be done with scene 6 of 13 by the end of next week. By the end of Scene 6 which is about the half way point of the chapter, we've hit 7,000+ words and over 450 images. So it's shaping up to be a pretty meaty update!
If everything works out, I'll have six scenes ready to deliver for play testing to $10+ patrons sometime late next week or the week after depending on how long it takes for the computer to render images.
I'll keep you informed as things progress!

At the moment no. I thought about building an archive but going forward I want to do so many more streams that editing, hosting, uploading, etc is just another task. If all works out, I'll be streaming several times a week into the future.
He is making crazy sexy Cassie stuff. And will hopefully have it ready to go soon. I'm working on the artwork every day. My only limitation right now is how fast the computer can render out the final images.
Last update was April and it featured a new chapter with Amanda, the pink haired nerdy girl.
Closer by the day. Every day I'm adding about 20 images to the queue. Just waiting for the computer to render through them all.
I mean...there's pictures...but that's about it.

Well I pray that these last couple of months marks the start of something new. You know, like constant updates and regular progress. So far the code automation has been working perfectly and I run it ten or twelves times per live stream. So that's at least a vote towards stability.
The kicker will be as soon as I get some additional computers up and running, will they outpace my production, or will I need to start looking at a fourth and fifth and render machine. I honestly don't know but I'm ready to do whatever it takes to keep large updates coming out at regular intervals.
I like the live stream for that reason. It validates I'm not full of shit and blowing smoke. The auto-coding I spent months building has been run several times during the live stream and I've demonstrated it happily to those who watch. But I know what you mean about other dev's crying wolf and I've always known that if I didn't keep working and just lied out my ass about progress, sooner or later that shit would catch up to me and I'd lose all credibility. So I like keeping the policy of being open, approachable, and honest.
I do have a Subscribestar now but I wouldn't sign up just yet because there's nothing on it. Since the Subscribestar model differs from the Patreon model a bit, my plan is to offer a single price tier on Subscribestar, but to make that version fully uncensored and have the "relationships" of certain characters restored and hard coded. This way people choosing Subscribestar over Patreon get a benefit all their own and it saves me from having to run duplicate posts across multiple sites.
I don't hate anyone that would rather listen to Megadeth over royalty free music I found on the internets.

All jokes aside, I think this Cassie chapter is some of the best stuff I've written to date. I look forward to getting everyone's feedback on how that relationship has developed and what they think of the pacing. I tried to make things happen fast, but remain well grounded and within the realm of belief. Time will tell if I succeeded. Fingers crossed!
