it's nice to see the dev take such an active role on these forums for a change, but is there any estimate on the next update? it's been almost a full year since the last one. i have to hope that a LOT of new content will be released with it, at least for the patrons' sakes.

The balance of paths is such an interesting conversation.

Usually the paths are defined by concept that the developer choose for those. In this case seems like a more grounded, long-term relationship by being a decent guy (Blue option) or by living the moment, being more bold and rash with words, leading to more casual and open relantionships (Red option). That's only my perception, and i may be wrong.

The problem usually happens when by trying to do something that is truly meaningful, the players are "punished" to have less spicy scenarios, wholesome scenes, or just the lewd progression is delayed for the sake of build-up in comparison of the other path, when you have the same talented writer doing the spicy thing that you wanted in other paths.
At the end of the game, is common if the game has for example 2 planned routes, if one is some kind of "romantic", "good-guy" or just even "respectful", that usually will have 25% (In most cases lest) of the lewd content just because in the same time-line, the action started way too late just because it needs build-up and then the game just ended because the other path just done everything
(And most cases, the game ends at the same point of the timeline, no matter which path).

At this point anyone might think that the opposite, but that's not it. I love the long term and interesting stories that unfold by a talented writer. I think myself a fan of stories that are driven by characters instead of scenarios, so that's why the maningful and deep relationship (Not always have to be romantic) attracts me the most and usually end realizing that it wasn't the focus at all.

One way to reward players that want that kind of content, is just by being loyal to the characters and let them grow with the story, a LI migh be shy and submissive if a path push her in a direction; in other path she can grow in a different way and lead to scenarios where she is more proactive because she is comfier and more confident. The limit is the talent of the writer, and by just doing that you can have the same amount of content, being as hot as the other path and even mantaining the traits of that characters that led you to that point.

I think this game does this very well, you can recognize a character no matter which path you choose, and have a huge divergence of how they interact with the MC (That's why i'm torn with this year and this game), but i, as well, recognize that if you played one side, will end with hotter / more scenes.

I'm glad to read that the dev is aware and open minded with the feedback, love the eventual streams and see that his direction align so much with my tastes. So hoping for the best and eager for the 2.0

My goal has always been to have equal amounts of "spicy" content for both the Red and Blue paths, they'd just be weighted at different points in the story. I've since shifted my mind set a little and I'm working to ensure that the "spicy" stuff happens about the same time for both paths.

I may never have been published but I've been writing long enough to know that anything is possible in a story. The trick is to develop believable scenarios that make the events seem natural and organic. I have to work a little bit of extra magic and think a bit harder to "speed" up the pace of the blue path, but it's not impossible and I hope this next Cassie chapter will be a testimony to how it can be done.

Cassie's will be the first story where things happen at the same time on the red and blue paths, but in slightly different ways that color the two different types of relationships accordingly. As long as I know who the characters are along each path, it should be possible to develop these two paths in tandem going forward.

Don't get me wrong, i love the blue path and i'am not asking for more sex right now, the dialogs between every character are excellent, and the way you built every character to be singular is superb, i just wanted to know if down the path we'll see sex scenes or the MC is just a "father/friend" for most of them.

No the father/friend route is the "Black" path. If you select the few black choices available in the game, you'll bypass the relationship content and pretty much just act in a father/friend/whatever capacity. Black = No Sex. Everything else will feature equal amounts of sex when it's all said and done.

I am getting so getting visited by the sexual harassment panda because of her.

Cassie's chapter will also have three sex scenes, one with the wife and two with Cassie and both Cassie sex scenes are playable in a single playthrough!

All I have to really finish with the Cassie chapters are the sex scenes which I'm working on now offline because patrons and viewers expressed a desire for me to not stream that content and keep it fresh for the first time they see it.

So while I finish the Cassie content offline I've been streaming work on the next chapter in Lupita's story. My hope is that I can continue this pace through the holidays and going forward. I've pretty much taken the month off of work to focus on the game (the real job is slow this time of year with different folks taking trips). So December is my first chance to get a feel for what it'd be like to work on the game full time.

So far it's great because I'm working on two characters simultaneously and releasing a completed scene for playtesting almost weekly.

All that said, I'm hoping Cassie will be done soon. I'm flying through her remaining renders and as long as I don't spend too much time posing for the sex scenes, we'll get to experience her very soon!

I understood precisely that. But I see no reason why MC cannot adopt the kid altogether.

Mmmm unless the nasty motherfucker thinks he himself is the protagonist in an adult visual novel, in which he would try to fuck his new stepsister! Then, I would adopt the kid just to fucking murder him, nobody touches my baby Cassie in my watch, or any of her friends! Need to think how to make it look like an accident. Something painful, but quiet.

Well damn! For once I don't have much to report.

Things are running pretty.....NO, I won't say it. Every time I do I fucking jinx it.

Let's just say things are. They just are.

The Experiment
I guess there is one thing I could mention that's pretty exciting, at least to me. As I've mentioned before, I'm not a full time developer. But I always wonder, what if I was?

Well December and January are pretty dead months at the regular jobbo and no one misses me if I take a bunch of time off. So as an experiment, I've cashed in a bunch of PTO and pretty much reduced my "regular work week" down to about 10 hours a week.

Which means for the month of December and January I get to play at being a full time developer and seeing just how much I can reasonably get done in a month. Now this month is kinda screwed up because of the holiday, but so far I'd say it's been good.

I've been able to release a new play test every week for the last three weeks, and I'm on pace again to do it this week. If January goes as well, then I think it's a safe to say we could expect weekly playtests and a new chapter every month or two. (This chapter is particularly robust at 21k words and over 600 images, not including the alternate nude and lingerie images.
Let me do some math and we'll see if we can't put together a goal for "Full Time Development". I know you want it, I certainly want it. And if I can continue to development full time thru January, we should have a good idea of what we can expect when that happens.

New compy is built and rendering (still GPU issues but that's ok the processors are kicking ass in their place).

And next week we'll continue with the live streams while I crank out Cassie's sex scenes.

Just wanted to tip my hat to the development team. There is some fantastic writing and branching choice variants in this game, much better than most others I've seen so far. Definitely looking forward to the future updates and seeing how the different routes end up.
