When you release the version that isn't compatible with old saves can you please include a save that brings players up to the point in time that the last version ended? Constantly having to start from scratch is often demotivating, certainly a reason I've personally stopped playing a number of games. I appreciate that there may be more than one path. So, assuming that each path is tested, there would logically be a point to save along each path during that test phase?
I wish this were possible but the problem with the beta and the reason we always knew they wouldn't be compatible is because of rewrites and recoding. To elaborate, we've changed the underlying structure of the code (added new variables, changed a few chronological flags, and altered the menu structure) so from a technical perspective the games just aren't compatible. Secondly, we've added some scenes, changed some decisions and added more dialogue options to the scenes we previously had. We always knew we would go back and do a rewrite and make them more robust and engaging once we had a better feel for the character personalities and storylines.
I truly hope this change doesn't dissuade you from playing the next release. I can assure you that the beta represents the last of any major code or story changes, so from now until release, there should never be a reason to have to start over from scratch. We promise that this will be the only time we ask you to do it.
This makes a lot of sense, but to be honest I'm a little disappointed, because I was curious about how the alpha model would have ended up working out. A few games have done it, but usually not on Patreon.
And the truth is if it hadn't been for our render machine burning out we would have continued this way. But as it was, not being able to produce any art, gave us triple time to focus on the coding and writing which put us a lot further ahead in those two departments than we had planned to be at this point. We think when the next version finally hits, people will be please with the upgrades. At the very least, the art should be incredibly pleasing.
Soon all skirts will have to be down to the ankle.
They did request the models at least have tops and bottoms on...
...and socks. For some goddamn reason they insist everyone be wearing socks in the promo images.
I'm sure the page will come back, there's not too much there to be banned or anything. Yet
Our solution was to just delete all of the images we had on the page. And even after requesting a review we are still in the queue. Apparently they did a big sweep and now their compliance department is backed up.
Oh, and they also asked us to remove the link to the free version of the game. I think it's bullshit, but they control the purse strings right now. Luckily we already got paid before they locked us out, so we are about 70% of the way towards the new vid card. THEY CAN'T STOP THE MACHINE!!!
I love this game fuck patreon >.< !!!!!!
And we heartily thank you for both sentiments. =)
I'm playing this game all over again I do not get tired of playing it nanami and lupita my favorite kkk I'm dreaming to see lupita working with a short skirt and no panties provoking ... More in the blind all the women of this game are beautiful the daughter without panties was Wonderful, I love this kind of thing.
We recently held a poll for our patreons regarding bonus content and the results were that we needed to change to a more traditional reward system. So the good news is that all the previous 'bonus' content will now become standard edition fare.
Thanks for the hype friend! We thrive on it!
I found your game yesterday and am VERY impressed with what's available right now. I'm really looking forward to whatever all these promised improvements are gonna look like. There's been a long break in development due to hardware issues and I get that. My system is a couple of yrs old and I have problems just PLAYING content from engines like Unity.
If I can make a suggestion tho - why not post a few of the new renders right here on F95? It would be the best way to let everyone see what's coming down the line - the patrons are already contributing. You can describe the new graphics with all the superlatives you want, but that kinda falls on skeptical ears. If people can SEE what's coming they'll be much more likely to support you.
As far as the promise improvements, they really revolve around two factors, new upgraded hardware that will help us produce Iray photoreal images in a fraction of the time we were doing them before. Less time per render means more renders per release. We are very excited about this.
The second big improvement comes from the experience we've amassed over the last half year. We started our project in January having zero Ren'py or Daz studio experience. Since then, we've set out to master both pieces of software. We've watched Over 50+ hours of Daz tutorials on everything from Iray Uber Base layers and settings, materials, animations, lighting, atmospheric effects, emissive surfaces....I mean, everything. Combined with our new hardware, I believe everyone is going to amazed by the difference. I know I am.
As for posting up samples, we gladly will when we have something substantial. I guess I could throw up the Patreon Reward images we were forced to take down. We rendered those using the onboard GPU on the new motherboard. And while I can produce, it can't produce fast. Each of the images took the better part of an hour to test, tweak and finally render. We are about 70% of the way towards a GTX 1070. We've compared our setup to some other Daz producers, and we have every reason to believe that with the new card we can get our render time below 5 minutes. A HUGE boon. Give me a few minutes and I'll throw up those reward images. I mean, it's not like I can put them on Patreon anymore. =D
