Ummm, what are you talking about? I was replying to a suggestion to have Dr. Amana "present during an encounter between the MC and another character(s) as a spectator/advisor (just present) or 'teacher'/instructor (potentially 'participating')".I wouldn't call that exhibitionism, there are courses for women of all ages we have difficulties to get (or never even had) an orgasm. In this case the therapist doesn't interact with the patients, but may participate by pleasuring herself to show things. That's basically the same thing, but doesn't have anything to do with exhibitionism.
I think we capped at like 47 or 48. Maybe 50. Our first iteration was very half assembled and I think a lot of people were waiting to see if we were going to be around in six months. Our reward system was very different as well. We wanted to try a more support = more bonus content type of approach. Having never done this before we were basically throwing darts in the dark. Turns out, such a system is not only undesirable to a lot of patrons, but time consuming as hell to maintain as a developer. So we held a vote and our patrons agreed a reworking of the reward system was in order. What we have now is more traditional. This VN is really underrated, I was expecting to see hundreds of patrons and I'm surprised that it didn't even reach a hundred. So good luck to the dev for reaching his goals and keep up the good work.
Emily cheating on you would be a part of the climax and end of her story. It's not something that would be sustained throughout the playthrough. It would be a conclusion, not an ongoing event.Okay, but her story arc should end before it gets to that point because that's squarely in the 'other guy doing my girl' genre most people (including myself) hate. Her story arc should end before that point. Emily moves out (possibly taking not-daughter with her) and isn't seen or heard from again. Sort of like Dating my Daughter did with Georgina (the secretary): if you neglect her and reject her advances, she disappears towards the end of the game, leaving behind only a farewell note. Other characters, if rejected, become purely platonic towards the MC or disappear as well, once they're no longer relevant to the storyline.
I don't know if that is something we'd consider for this character, but we do have plans (providing this game becomes profitable) to make more of these with Doctor Amana and new patients from different walks of life. I think we'd be open to considering a scenario like this in a future game. For now, we have an alternative path with the good doctor.@RomanHume
I am not sure if this would be considered a 'fetish,' but was wondering if the following might have been considered for a future update:
As Dr. Amana is a 'sexual' therapist, having her present during an encounter between the MC and another character(s) as a spectator/advisor (just present) or 'teacher'/instructor (potentially 'participating')?
We were actually surprised and deeply honored that we didn't lose very many patrons during the setback. Our patron count remained surprisingly flat. The game is really good, but before it could really pick up speed, their rendermachine was broken and so the game couldn't progress for the last months and I think many patreons were lost.
As a very early patreon I hope this game can now continue and grow steadily again.
I just hope that the many paths with all the girls and optional pregnancy and so on won't reduce the speed of progression for each girl too much.
Thanks! The whole pregnancy mechanic was designed so that those who really want it can make it happen 100% of the time, those who don't want it can avoid it 100% of the time, and those who want to roll the dice, can take their chances. So while it's in the game, you don't have to go that route.Happy to read that you are back ! And in an even better shape, so to speak.
I don't know what to think about the optional pregnancy. But, having a baby with Nanami could be an interesting story.
This is a perfectly fair review. While we do regret making players start over and basically doing a reboot, a strong part of us felt that it might be best to do it now before we got a year into this project. Easier to replay a handful of scenes than a whole game. That was our thought process anyway.Mixed feelings about the new version.
Regarding the game in general, including the old version: I think in terms of writing, dialogue and character development, this is probably the best adult game I've ever played. The stuff with the Nanami, Monica and Lupita and your wife is downright feasible (which is unheard of in these games). The stuff with the teens, we'll see where it goes; but at it's by far the most believable I've seen, and the MC is the most realistic and human.
Regarding the new version: mixed feelings. It's still fantastic. That said, while I understand the allure of writing everything from scratch considering how long the dev team was down during the computer-pocalypse of '18, I really loved where the game was. Every scene had me wanting more, and I was excited to see where things went from there; so it's frustrating to be back and square one.
Still, frustrating as it is, I like the writing so much that I'm still excited for what comes next.
Our thought was that the 100% avoidance option would be pulling out or using a condom. Honest question, do you think a better solution would be for us to include an option to simply turn pregnancy off at the beginning of a new game? Also, regarding pregnancy, I really hope it can be avoided without have to pull out every time. Birth control is a thing, regardless of the "it's not 100%" thing, it's fiction. It can be 100%.
I agree that the entire pregnancy system should be optional, as well as being avoidable with in-game choices (depending on how much work that is). Players that don't want to deal with the system at all can turn it off, while those that enjoy it can choose whom they want to risk pregnancy with. You could even make it (the pregnancy system) part of a higher-tier offering (it does take more work to implement, after all), depending on how patrons react to that idea. Our thought was that the 100% avoidance option would be pulling out or using a condom. I would GREATLY prefer that. Yes, please allow this as an option. It can just be assumed that everyone is taking birth control. I personally like unloading inside scenes, but not the preggo thing. Allowing this to be turned on or off would appeal to a wider range of fans. Our thought was that the 100% avoidance option would be pulling out or using a condom. I prefer the option to pulling out/use condoms than just an option at the beginning of the game to disable pregnancy or not moreover the first option adds even more realism to the story as a consequenceOur thought was that the 100% avoidance option would be pulling out or using a condom. If it makes sense in the course of the dialogue and the discussion 'feels' natural, then that could absolutely be a possibility. What about add an option where you can ask them to get on the pill or they ask you if they should?
We agree with all of this. But I don't think we need to make it a tier reward. It's a very easy fix and from the sounds of this discussionf it will increase the enjoyability for a large number of players.I agree that the entire pregnancy system should be optional, as well as being avoidable with in-game choices (depending on how much work that is). And we hadn't considered players who wanted the skin on skin action but didn't want to decorate every woman in the game with semen. So shame on us for not thinking about this angle, but fortunately we can very easily fix this! I'm just glad this conversation came up now because it would have much more difficult to fix further down the road.I would GREATLY prefer that. I like skin on skin, but a lifetime of responsibility for one night of fun not so much.
And so you shall have it!Yes, please allow this as an option. It can just be assumed that everyone is taking birth control. I personally like unloading inside scenes, but not the preggo thing. Allowing this to be turned on or off would appeal to a wider range of fans.
So the way the mechanic currently works, every female starts off pregnant = False. Then, when a character unloads in her during a scene, a function is called that looks at a number of factors and calculates a probability of pregnancy. It is by no means a real simulation, just a mechanic to add some randomness and variability to the story.I prefer the option to pulling out/use condoms than just an option at the beginning of the game to disable pregnancy or not moreover the first option adds even more realism to the story as a consequence
I'm really hoping this is a Fallout reference...but I digress...@RomanHume Just my 2 caps worth
Just to touch on your points:Pregnancy on/off If on then %x chance of pregnancy
Cum shot Y/N or cum inside/outside
I've played games with condoms and pills, didn't really care for either, but pill is better than condom since pills go 30 days. I Really can't agree with "realism" since
1. it's a VN/game, not a sim.
2. "Realism" requires 2 forms of birth control, else %x - y chance of preg. and don't forget to track a 29 day(lunar) cycle.
3. I doubt you would want to render condom/non-condom scenes, and if it's not shown, what's the point?
4. What happens when you got no condom? MC exits/no sex, or sex anyway question? I'm sure I'm missing something, since it's an off the cuff, glance at the "issue" being discussed and not really enough time to really evaluate the changes needed and implementation method impact on Dev side.
Unless you want to turn it off, in which case it's just a regular pause.I think, in honor of that last wall of (responsive) text, we should all observe a pregnant pause.
Story-wise, you can have the switch at the beginning mean all the girls are on the pill. Problem solved! As usual, our ability to estimate was off. It took fourteen lines of code, not ten. Oh well. Fix is in! Everything has been tested and variables are correctly modified. So new players can turn pregnancy off at the beginning, players with an existing v1.0.0 save can turn it off the next time they start the game.
Cheers mates and thanks for the excellent feedback!
