I know, I know, it's August. But we owed you a Teaser scene from the work we've been doing and this is the earliest we could get it ready. Rather than give you a boring character render from earlier in the scene, we thought we'd cut to something saucy. You've more than earned it.

Our next update of course is the expanded Pool scene that introduces the three young high school girls involved in our story. However, this scene actually starts the night before Roger meets them for a swim.

It's the weekend, and the girls are having a sleep over. And Roger just happens to catch them through an open window getting ready for bed.

This is also the first scene in which we've used our new skin shaders and textures. At this distance, the improvement is marginal, but the next release will include a few more up close shots that will really demonstrate the improved quality of the product.

We still don't have a tentative release date as we're hard up cranking out the visuals. So far the count is up to 30 and we haven't even gotten to the pool yet. We hope it will be an update worthy of your approval.

Well, obviously, I don't have enough insight to judge the sanity level of your mind, but you may rest assured that in this instance, specifically, you have assayed the situation correctly. The devs identified ways they felt the story of DAST could be presented in a more effective manner and, combined with an improved capacity for rendering the game, they made the bold (and, clearly, controversial) move to restart the game through a different story-telling method.

Time will tell if they made the right decision. This will require more patience than sanity, so you may still be okay even if you are not of sound mind anymore...

Yes. They had to stop progress when the rendering machine melted, but they couldn't stop thinking about the game so they jumped ahead and started rewriting it before finishing.

I can't believe it's already been a month since I've posted the first of these updates. It has been an incredibly productive month for certain.
Work continues unabated on the next release. For those who've previously played our alpha, the pool scene with Cassie, Jane and Amanda was our first every attempt at putting together an adult VN. It was our first real shot using Daz for our visuals and the first time we had coded something in Renpy. It was an amazing learning experience and here we are eight months later and ready to revisit that first piece of work.

Our next release will feature the beta version of that scene and it has been expanded exponentially. Originally that scene had 18 images, 250 lines of code and 2 dialogue choices. Now, we're still rendering the visuals, but we're currently at 54 images (and haven't hit the mid-point of the scene), over 800 lines of code and 17 dialogue choices.

The expanded scene includes a little voyeurism as well as some solid one-on-one time with each of the three girls. So if you're wondering why it's taking us so long to get this next disty out, that's why. It's a ton of work but we're incredibly excited to get it wrapped up and move on to the next one. Our biggest sorrow is that we don't have more time in the week to work on the project.

In other news, we have our August poll up for $5+ patrons and DataD is currently hard at work on our August Custom Nude for +15 Patrons. A lot of exciting stuff still coming up this month.

Also, for non-patrons, we'll have the beta v1.0.0 posted on our webpage before the end of the week. We'll send out a notification as soon as it's live.

As a way of saying thank you for following us, here are a few screen caps from the upcoming release. We're doubly excited about this release because it's our first change to parade around the new skin textures we've purchased to further increase the visually quality of the game. I agree the difference with Cassie (I don't think she's the daughter any longer because Patreon) is huge. She used to look anemic. I hoping when we see Lupita as well it will be as big a change.

This is starting to look very exciting, previously I really enjoyed the writing and thought the visuals are okay. Now it really does look cutting edge and the one scene they've released the writing clearly had had more time spent on it.

It's a shame that they're not yet halfway into the scene, it seems that the high quality and the new patreon rewards take their toll a bit. For those getting impatient it might be better to come back in a few months when i expect the game will be pretty top draw. More content is all that is really an issue here.

In my games almost everyone is a sister brother mother father daughter even when they are not suppose to be as I just go in and change their name to sister brother mother father daughter and if there is any step shitter shit I delete out the step and make them blood.

You can rename whoever you want in a renpy game all you need is unren or enable dev mode renpy to extract the game files and then either load the rpy files into notebook till you find the name for the MC or go into game after extracting the game files and hitting shift + D then look in the variables and see what the name is for the MC and then use the shift + O console to change their name. Sometimes character names are in a character.rpy sometimes they are in the script.rpy and sometimes you have to dig some.

I extract game files all the time and change all kinds of stuff many times when I change names in a game it's because the DEV had no originality and chose to name a guy the same generic shit stain name that many others already overused to death like Eric the dickless wonder.

That sound complicated and would you need to do it for each update?

Yes you would have to change their name every update but it's quite easy to do once you have done it a few times that it goes super fast and once you change the name/names the next time will be faster as you'll know what to do.

Sorry for the late response. I know others have already filled you in but I thought I'd give you a little straight from the source. We did indeed skip over the rest of the alpha and jump into beta. During our black out period we continued writing and started to firm up the story. It made sense to us to begin the final draft now rather than continuing with the alpha and then in six or seven months recreate the same game.

Feedback on this decision has been mixed. But the biggest advantages are the tighter, more coherent story, improved visuals and animations. Most of the content we had before underwent some rewrite, but that went fast. At the moment we're working to jam out all of the visuals. We hope to be caught up in another month or so and then we can really dive into all the new content we've written. We're excited and hope you'll stick around with us for awhile and see what we got coming.

In the meantime, thanks for giving us a try.

We were hoping no one noticed. Gambit was doing some fill in work while Fecal was on travel and he failed to follow all the specifics in the Character Profile. Since then, Fecal came back and reskinned everything to the correct settings. The final renders now contain all of the previous material settings.

I personally think the improvements are night and day. It's the level of quality we were always shooting for and we're finally getting our skill set where it needs to achieve it.

As far as the content, we really are jamming as fast as we can on it. We think in a couple of months we'll pass where we left off. We did just change our reward system though. So hopefully that will help ease up some of the routine maintenance and allow us to focus more on the project.

And in case you were wondering, we only have two tiers now $1 gets you early access and nude teasers. $5 gets you everything. Walkthroughs, nude promotional images, access to content polls etc.

And the animations are going to be standard fare for all releases. It's less work for us to just include it rather than code in the if exists and part out the animation files.

pregnancy is planned
it will be optional (on/off toggle in options screen)
If enabled, it will be determined by chance, with an option somewhere in encounter to make it guaranteed (for that character, that time).

What the hell?! It’s Sunday already? Holy shit. Well. Here we go.
Progress is moving right along. We’ve completed staging one of Emily’s animated sex scenes. Working on the others. Our goal is to push hard this week and get this updated wrapped. We’ll have a few long nights ahead of us, but we’re going to squeeze in a few extra hours of work this week so we can get it done. We can see the mile marker from here, just gotta close that last gap.

Current Progress
The new skin mods are looking great. Fecal’s time and dedication to learning everything he can about Daz is certainly paying off. The guy is a machine and he just isn’t stopping. He claims his next goal is to master the camera in Daz. Specifically, focal distance and f/stop. According to him there are some very cool things we could be doing with the Daz cameras that will further enhance the visual quality. Fortunately, he is a man of reason and he’s sworn off making any changes or implementing upgrades until after this next release.

Choke Point
We’ve come to a bottle neck for the moment in our process. We’ve hit a point where Fecal, as the Master of Visuals among us, is solely responsible for putting together the imagery for the story. Which means there isn’t much any of us can do to help the man. I’m charging ahead with writing the story while our co-authors are helping with story ideas and coding. As we move forward we will be ahead of the project on ready material. We’re just waiting for pretty pictures.

I suspect very soon we’ll be shifting around some of our Patreon goals. We clearly need another pixel pusher before we need a code monkey. That doesn’t really impact much in terms of where were at. But just letting you know we’re thinking ahead.

Phasing out the Old Reward System
Just a reminder to all patrons of $10 and up. Starting next month, we’ll be rolling ahead with the $5 meal deal. While we appreciate patrons going above and beyond, we just want to be clear that there will not be any additional rewards to be had above $5.
For those in the $5 tier, starting September 1st, we will open up all the previous content that was previously reserved for upper tier patrons.

You know you can use unren to extract script files, and edit the dialogue files yourself, with your text editor of choice.

I expect the point was that those are spelling corrections that could be made by the developer so that everyone doesn't have to do that.

Perhaps it is also a request for the developer to be a bit more vigilant in regards to proof-reading. Hint: when checking for spelling, etc. mistakes read the sentence from back to front. Mistakes usually just jump out that way.
