What's more, as kinks get more fringe, people start expecting the games to cater more heavily to them and actually like a game less for having either any of an offensive flavor at all or for having only a little of it, so a game about 11-foot women has to have 11-foot women in every scene and not in a dream sequence (and the dream sequence alone will drive other people away), or a gay-tagged game can't just have one lesbian scene in it to be enjoyable for someone looking for gay games.
I don't think it's fair though to say that people who like trans or gay content only like trans and gay content. Sure that is probably the majority, but if there is one thing I've learned in my year here at F95, both on the forum and in the Discord, it's that there are a lot of people whose tastes are very wide in scope.

I also think that it helps we are up front about the content. When we include the scenes with our trans character, and at this point we're committed so I do mean when, it'll be pointed out that this character is a side character with limited story and that Roger's main tale revolves around the potential seven women outlined in the game.

You may be right, a lot of people could pass our game up and say "Oh, Trans content, I'm out." But I think when those fans who have faith in our ability to deliver what we promise play the game and feel no loss when they don't experience the trans content, they will be the ones to help us convince others that it's worth playing. That they can ignore the tags they want, and that they will still receive a whole experience without it. And I already know from the two dozen emails and messages I've gotten that there are existing players, people who came into this thing only for the straight content saying, "Thank you for even considering including this. I know it's not a focus, but it will be nice to see a trans option."

At the end of the day, this optional content adds so little in additional production time there is no excuse to us not to include it. People are going to love this game, hate it, or just think it's ok. I like to think that if we continue to offer well written, well rendered, highly interactive content, that the population of players is large enough that even if we alienate some, there will be enough left to make it financially viable to carry itself.

At the end of the day, there is only one way find out, and we're about to.

Cheers mate!

I just played this game for the first time.
While I like the way it is made, it seems that there is very little content considering that it has been out for a year now.

Or am I missing something? I've gone through all the scenes that have previews in the OP.
Is there an incredible amount of content that I missed because of choices made in the game?
Kinda doubt it.
I know others have told you about the reboot, but I wanted to add that if you are interested in playing the original alpha for comparison, you can still find it on our webpage under the [downloads] section.

One alternate, could be to at least say what you are getting when you make a choice, either a note by the choice, or as a message right after you pick it. Such as +2 Real, or +2 Shy, or whatever the option gives you. It may not give you a total that way, but it will give you an idea of the path you are on, and the direction you are going.
Xanatos found himself with some free time over the break and was asking if there was anything he could he do to help. To my great surprise he actually mocked up a function stat tracker that players can use to observe their current relationship status with the seven main characters. I'll tell you now, it's not pretty, but it works and in time we'll make some efforts to go back and make it gorgeous. Thanks again for the suggestion mate!

Awesome, it doesn't have to be pretty to start, function matters more, pretty can come later. You don't fuck the UI, so it's looks are secondary. :ROFLMAO:

To me, the only consideration is whether you want to build it or not. Market speculation is useful for choosing when to spend your time, but wondering where to spend it is just easily pandering, and it shows when your juices aren't in it - more often than not, the impression of a speech is not about the topic, it's about the elocution. When you've more or less committed yourself to trying something, whether it gets done will be off the table until it's time to present.

Yeah, you have to love what you do, or it will show.

For sure there are. I'm one of those "very wide tastes" people, i would know. :p And i doubt fans of gay or trans content is much more concentrated on it than fans of straight do on theirs. I'd like to think they are trying something new now and again just like we are.

While the axis of our story spins around the seven major love interests in Roger's life, there exists no limit to the number of women that may cross his path on his way to our story's conclusion. Thus it is with great pleasure I get to introduce you to two such ladies, Lita and Lola.
Make no mistake, their presence in our story serves a purpose to our plot and their inclusion is not mere decoration. But their arrival gives us an opportunity to showcase how we intend to handle different player tastes and preferences.
Both characters will fulfill the same purpose in our story which is all I can say without dropping spoilers. But which character you experience in the game will depend on your selection of optional content.
For players seeking a strictly heterosexual story with zero transgender content, Lita will perform the story functions required to help drive Roger on his quest for revenge. For players wanting to shake things up a bit and who enjoy transgender content, Lola will do the exact same. Thus all players will receive the same amount of content regardless of their chosen combination of "kinks".
These are short term characters with very specific story functions. Neither of them will replace any of the seven main love interests. And ultimately it will be up to you if Roger has a rapid fire fling with one of them. You will always have the option of turning down any character. We've included some of the character details below and you can expect to see one of these lovely ladies during Nanami's next chapter (currently in development alongside Cassie and Lupita).
Lita
Lita learned at a young age that she could make more money in a single night dancing at Caligula's than she could handing food out drive-thru window for a month. Even a high-school drop out like her could do that kind of math. She was young, beautiful, and loved the way rich men showered her with money and gifts. She just recently turned 21 and she still feels like the queen bee. Lita will do anything to keep that money coming in. She has no scruples, no morals, and no compunctions. If you trust Lita with a secret, then you better trust that she'll sell it before the last call.
Lola
Lola's was 18 when she made the decision to transition. Her parents stopped talking to her. Her friends left. She was alienated from everyone she had grown up with. But for the first time in her life she felt like herself. It was heartbreaking and liberating all at the same time. After the difficulties and horrors of high school, Lola had no desire to go to college. With no real marketable skills and difficulty making ends meet, she took up waitressing at Caligula's. She tried to keep her transition secret, but it wasn't long before the secret got out. And to her surprise, that is when the real money started rolling in.

Roger sorry as you do not get to pick a name and so to me it is not my character. Roger will get to end up with more than one female or not from this build a harem or swear off the insanity of women altogether, the choice is yours. As i do not see a harem tag that why i am asking to make sure

I agree with both of these sentiments. And to be honest, if we didn't want to do it, we wouldn't. But it falls into the same category as the pregnancy suggestion oh so many months ago. Someone suggested it, and the next thing we knew all kinds of story ideas are jumping into our head. It's the same with our trans character. The more we thought about her, the more saw potential in her presence. Things that don't enrich the story are dismissed. Which is why no matter how often it comes up, and it comes up often in email, there will never be a Cassie/Jane/Amanda three-way. It defies their characters too much. Sure it's a story and we can do what we want, but if we don't feel it can be executed in a elegant and tactful manner, then it goes. We feel that this new character doesn't just pander to a portion of the audience, but adds something unique to that portion of the story that will make it enjoyable.

When is 1.0.4 coming here?
v.1.0.4 on svscomics, any chance someones got it to share.
v1.0.4 will become public on 12/11. If someone hasn't posted a pirate version before then, I'll update the OP myself on that date. If someone comes in and uploads the most recent version, I'll at least update the change log.

It's crazy how this whole experience has opened my eyes up to all the variations. I used to think you're gay, or you're straight, and you gravitate to one or the other. But now I've entered into a world where nothing is so black and white and there are kinks, proclivities and interests that defy both categories. I'm actually embracing the diversity a bit but at the same time don't want our game to stray from the initial promise. That is why we are pleased we found what we think is a perfect compromise.

We kind of go back and forth on this. On the one hand, we think it would be good if we added all the tags we want in the game before it is over. On the other, we feel it's dishonest to include tags for things that are not in the game yet. Does the community have any thoughts on this?

(And to answer your question, yes, you will be able to build a harem if your definition of harem is that you can continue banging as many as seven ongoing relationships ad infinitvm.)

We all are used to be like that at one time. Welcome to our "world" then. :) I also think it's a great compromise for both sides, and i'm looking forward to this content and other.

Actually, i believe this forum's rules are against including tags that are not in the game yet. I've seen moderators comments about that many times. Me personally, i'd like to see majority of the tags and planned fetishes before i'm starting playing the game. It's useful so i see if there exciting stuff like pregnancy already planned.

short update, but I liked the content, Jane's whole persona is such a turn-on for me, I don't usually enjoy small frame girls in VNs but she is something else

No, it doesn't. No, there isn't. The point is that the MALE protagonist is in therapy, by the FEMALE Dr, Amana.
Judging by your post you have problems following the plot and that might just be because you don't understand English.

Sorry, but don't blame the game for your personal shortcomings.
