Thanks for the update -- it was an interesting one to be sure, but at least as far as the path I'm on goes (no tranny, no NTR) it felt quite short lived. Still, it was simple and effective, got me eager to discover what happens next. I do disagree with some of the reasoning used in the discussion between stripper and MC -- so I'm glad we still were given the option to "opt out." There's nothing wrong with her being that, but there's nothing wrong with not being into that, either. The logic used in the after discussion/inner monologue seems to imply that believing otherwise is "closed minded," which sounds like it stems from some good old fashioned, propaganda-fueled social programming.

Either way, I don't come to these games for politics so it didn't bother me (I can ignore it): just some afterthoughts.

As always, appreciate ya putting out this great game.

First, I want to say I really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. I love reading what others think of the story. Also, I am curious though, did you have a chance to play through the "Lita" version of the story? Did that feel short as well? Just curious.

On a larger note though, I want to stress here and now to EVERYONE, there is no political agendas or social propaganda intended in any of my stories or games. I write for entertainment and amusement only! Never read any deeper than the surface of the text. In the case of Roger and Lola, his thinking might seem a little propagandaish, but I can assure you that his thought process was that of a man who was incredibly horny, desperate to fuck something, and was basically "talking himself into it". Those monologues are Roger talking to Roger and not me talking to the player.

Roger might have relied on some good old fashioned social programming to convince himself that what he really wanted to do was ok, but I'm not here to sell anyone on a view point, political or social stance. It's just me trying to tell a pornographic story with as much psuedo-logic as I can muster.

If you go through all red, and then again all blue. You'll see every available sex scene. Currently there is 1 x Nanami, 1 x Emily, 1 x Jane, 1 x Lita (or 1 x Lola).

LOL, I have to admit I wasn't paying a lot of attention to the color coding, just answering randomly, but managed to get all four of them (I forgot about the wife in my previous estimate of 3!) Also, the character I remember most vividly from the first iteration of this game was Lupita-glad to see she is back and even better than ever.

Those scenes are queued for an update and most of it's been written, but the new renders haven't been complete yet. Instead of continuing with the final rework of some of that material I decided to push on a little in the Nanami direction so that players can have a little something new.

Kissing Amanda in the mancave is still part of the game though, that didn't go anywhere.



I understand everyone's desire for an official walkthrough but for the time being I think it's a task I have to abandon. Now that I"m the only one working on the project, it's enough work putting the game together and trying to get updates out frequently as is.

Ultimately though, the way the game is structure, if you want to see all the scenes, just play through and pick only blue options, then play through and pick only red. In this way, pretty much all of the juiciest content will be experienced.

If we're lucky, some enterprising soul will take up the task of creating a player made walk through.

And for what it's worth, there is no ulterior stereotype that is trying to be played to with the sex worker trope. It was just a very convenient way to get the MC on a fast track collision course with this character and to let them fire things up as quickly as possible. Since she is a short run character and not a major love interested in the game, it was important that I find a way to cut to the juicy stuff as fast as possible. So her role in the story is more a matter of narrative convenience than one of stereotyping.

But I appreciate the feedback and hopefully when we see more of Lola in future chapters, we'll get to explore her character even more. Salute mate.

All I can say is that the content is written and partially coded, but what needs to happen is the artwork and the renders. It's in the queue, but I have to burn through some other characters to get back to it.

i assumed that was the case. aside from my complaint-i enjoy the game. do you plan on going the harem route-making all the girls bi? i think that's what most are hoping the end result will be.

I know this question wasn't directed at me but I wanted share my opinion anyhow. I can't see a true full on harem ever working in DAST cuz Rogers affairs are too compartmentalized seeing as any one of them could blow up his life. On the other hand I could see a mini "High School Harem" with Cassie and friends working eventually on a red route. It would prolly be a ways off for a scenario of all 3 at once tho cuz it's gonna take a good bit of corrupting to get Amanda on board as pure as she is.

I could totally see a Cassie/Jane tag team tho once you cross the line with the former anyway since she's so keen on exploring her sexuality and Jane is just enough of a slut to be up for it.

I'm hitting an error that I have never come across before so any help would be appreciated. I am trying to start up the PC version of DAST through Ren'Py on a Mac, which usually works just fine, but I am getting an error of, "can't find font u'sexsmith.ttf " . Wouldn't that font be included in the game?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The problem is the Ren'Py SDK isn't copying the fonts over from the PC version.

Not quite right, but close.
Futa is short for Futanari - A Japanese porn term for hermaphrodite (the common/vulgar term is chicks with dicks)
Trans is short for Transsexual - A term meaning someone who was born in the wrong gendered body, there are many variations of Trans; these range from someone who just feels they are in the wrong body, and therefore identifies as the gender they feel they should be; all the way to someone who has transitioned (had an operation) and anywhere in between. Trans can go either way; a trans person could have either set of genitalia depending on their situation, but not both.

The only thing I would add, is that unlike a hermaphrodite, a futanari's genitals are not only fully functional, but generally exaggeratedly so. They even occasionally have magical properties...

Just finished the playthrough of this version, and I know Roman is constantly on the look out for feedback so here we go.

Positives:

I have to admit the new mechanics for the sex scene are pretty damn good, they would benefit with some more options or slightly longer scenes, however understandably this would mean so many extra renders. Maybe its something to look into when the team is back up to more than just Roman.

The conversation between Nanami and Roger in the car about the corporate tactics being used was fantastic. Spot on for that environment in my opinion.

The Lola/Lita combination worked really well, with both characters having their own distinct personality shine through that was maintained which ever route you went down (BTW Lita is a bitch!)

Negatives:

Everyone that visits this thread will know the struggle that Roman has had recently with updates and just this release in general, and even though we understand the difficulty in getting something released in a timely manner vs amount of content in each release, this still felt very short.

I kept getting errors show up whenever Roger climaxed with the pregnancy feature turned on, it was one small error that was easily skipped if you pressed ignore - I don't know why this is.

Overall this game still is one of my favourites, and I will continue to enjoy playing it and perusing here- In fact I think this thread is one of two that I've actually commented in!

Open to helping with this game if asked, as I think this really has a lot of potential!

It looks like someone responsible for coding this part stopped half-way through since the calls are set up correctly in the newest scene and names defined, but old stuff is incorrect and the function has a slight typo(cam-came).
Just disable pregnancy for now, someone mentioned a fix was around the corner.

And the question were if Lola's name were based off of that song, not who it was that came up with the idea, so I felt that the last confirmation was adequate information to answer the question even if it didn't credit you as the mastermind behind it.

Well....damn! -Bug fix update-

As I've previously communicated, I'm currently travelling for the real job blues. And while that has temporarily stopped work on renders, through airports, flights and hotels I've continued work on bugs, writing and coding.

Now, onto the bad news. The save fix seems to be beyond my ability to rectify. And believe me, I've tried everything. Save game editors, direct edits to the save-log file. The source of this bug remains buried in the bowels of renpy.

To that end, I even did a deep dive on the renpy.game.context() object. And while I've located the function that is causing the error (and partially understand it's purpose), efforts to program an interrupt around the function fixes the problem, but causes a number of errors to appear in other places.

At this point I need to weigh the pros and cons of continuing work on a bug that I may never be able to fix vs proceeding to work on the game. At this point, without some breakthrough information, I have to wave the white flag.

It was my intent to produce this game in a way that would not require you to restart the game. It is now clear that without having absolute control over Renpy's processing, that's not a guarantee I can make going forward. So, what do we do?

I never want to tell people how to enjoy my game. That is why developer mode remains unlocked and players have access to the console. Files aren't archived and all the assets are open for inspection. If you want to play my game the way it's written and programmed you can. And if you're the type that wants to go in and edit this and that and change variables, well then go for it if it means you'll have fun.

So with this open-kimono-have-fun-mentality, there is no reason not to include an unlocked cheat-menu for those who want it. In this menu, I'll include the ability to skip to any scene (in case your save is broke and you only want to see the new content), as well as a way to set your blue and red points with each character.

I figure if I cannot promise that save games will work, the least I can do is program a way for you to jump approximately to where you were previously and continue playing.

It's the best solution I can come up with and I am truly sorry I wasn't able to uphold the promise of saves always functioning. I realize now that when using free 3rd-party software to build your game, you have to sacrifice some control over the processes.

I have much more news to share in light of this change in development, so stay tuned and I'll be back shortly with more information.
