The first boss?

The way combat works in this game is you do your normal attacks to spend SP while building TP and moving through the stances. You can spend TP to use special attacks depending on what stance you're in. End your turn when you're low on resources, DO NOT RUN OUT OF SP.

Oh yeah, first off, you will want to buy all of the items from the smith (i.e the one building with an anvil sign attached to it), from both batches of weapons it offers you, before you can even start forging this blade. Yeah, i didn't even bother to hide this step behind spoilers because i know some people weren't even aware that the smith updated it's catalogue once you had bought all of it's weapons, and since the game only says that it's possible to forge the sword once you do so... yeah.

Because of the nature of the last required forging part only being found in the last stretch of the game, unless you count NG+ the only opponent you will use the sword against is the final boss, but i still recommend getting it for those who don't wanna pop up that game engine and crank your stats to the max because it's one hell of a boost and the last opponent is one tough motherfucker even without purposely sabotaging yourself, so there's that.

I was forced to beat the last boss with the basic longsword... I didn't even know new weapons unlocked after you clear out the weapon shops stock.

Anyone else wish that the combat was more difficult? Don't get me wrong I'm enjoying the game so far but these battles are all piss easy and I haven't been farming enemies. Especially since so much of the content is gated behind losing in battles it would be nice if we could see it without having to purposefully throw fights.

when you are collecting the material for the smelly bag only talk to the nuns that are having sex and don't get caught by the freeroaming ones

Oh, welp, to be fair one of the few genuine criticisms i can make towards the game is that at no moment does it tell you that the smith restocks itself after you purchase everything available to her - i guess the fact the wife seems to be very enthusiastic that you buy her "magic sword" does imply something might happen if you do so, but i myself didn't notice this until after escaping the prison and realizing "hey, isn't it weird i didn't get a new weapons shop until now?"
