Hello all,

Firstly an apology. The next update 0.4.8 for Dreams of Reality is not yet 100% ready for release. A couple of last minute changes were needed and this delayed me getting the game to the testers.

As such the new release date will be Friday 31st May 2024. Unless something is completely broken and requires a lot of additional time to fix, there will not be any further delay to this time.

In other news, Dreams of Reality 0.4.5 is now free for everyone. If you have yet to play that update you can now download it from this link:

I know some of you may be disappointed with this delay, but I feel it's better to spend a little extra time now to ensure the update is bug and error free.

There is something that has come to light from testing, if you have any saves from chapter one, in some cases these may be broken (the chapter will restart when loading them). This is due to the code refactoring and the save state being mismatched from the code base.

There is no, nor will there be a fix for this. However it appears to only affect a small number of saves - and will only affect saves from Chapter One.

Well I can't speak for you, but for me, the healthiest thing for the couple in such a dire situation is to NOT throw more romantic complications in the mix. As the MC, it just feels right to support the spouse through such a tough time.

I previously mentioned I would be including the SHA-256 HASH check for each of the downloads I provide. This is for you to easily verify the file you have downloaded matches the one I have uploaded.
How to check the file I download?
If you have WinZip7 installed:
  • Right click on the zip file to open the submenu
  • Highlight CRC check, the smaller menu will list SHA-256
  • After a short moment the HASH number will be provided. check that against the ones I provide here.
They didn't match, is it a virus?
Just because the two HASH checks don't match does not mean the file you have downloaded contains a virus. It probably means that the file has been edited in some way, this could be code added or even images removed or added. If you downloaded the file from an alternative source be sure you trust that source before you run the game.
They match, I'm fine right?
99% of the time, yes. You can be confident that there is no malicious code in the download. However though the HASH check produces a unique set of letters for the file, it's not completely fool-proof. There's no harm in running a virus scan on the file. I promise, I won't be offended.

well these games are distributed on n+1 sites so unless they want shitstorm on themselves providing sha code is better.

I've added the MAC and Android links. I'm sure a helpful uploader can add a 3rd mirror for the MAC version. Also added the compressed versions, updated the dev log and added the change log.

Usual cavaet, any bugs or weird shit is totally intended, but if you could let me know I can intend them more. Thanks. Also, turns out this is a really expensive hobby... if you're able to, and if the game has entertained you, please consider throwing a buck or two my way to say thanks :)

Hope you enjoy the update, I really do suggest you try the alternative routes :) I spent a long time on them!
