Really? What sane persons are you talking about? All the people say he is a fraud because he said he will release his game on X date and he din't. He is accused of a lot of things because he earns 7k/month without releasing an update for over an year. It's really that simple. How about this logic?

I got banned to gumdrop discord channel today. That dude scamming people left and right. In his discord channel u cant talk shit to him. His blind followers blocks negatives things that u will say. Dude is a con artist.

Gummy is doing a "housecleaning" most probably, getting rid of those telling him clearly what a self-censored he is. Since we have his Don Quixote here onsite, gumdrop surely knows that F95 and it´s users have seen through his scam a long time and tell everyone who hears us what kind of developer gummy is.
Since he gets patrons from various places, he knows it won´t do him any good if they stumble over F95 or users from here and learn the truth. So he has his followers on the lookout to get rid of all who could spoil his money grabbing for nothing back con.

I've left his discord because it was boring to listen all lies and his cultists and excuses. I even unfolowed this page and till now i didn't check. I still don't get it why this game isn't closed on this forum?

Yeah they even said u cant talk shit to their lord gumdrop. Theres only 4-5 people consistently chatting there bcos they banned who oppose or criticize that con artist. Its becoming a JOKE. GD keeps silent there and didn't want to communicate to his patrons and they still following him.
I heard the same thing. I watched that there is even a speculation that he's laundring money and some stuf about his wife that are trigering even on this forum. Idk why moders of this site or who ever, make that "Abandoned" tag so that people and potential patreons could be turned back...

Considering your post contains some keywords, how about a bet how long until Joshua Tree, aka cheerleader extraordinaire or Gumdrop himself disguised, will drop in with an attempt to "clean" Gumdrop? It was interesting to hear in some posts that even many of his patrons now believe something is "foul in the state of Denmark", so it is not us F95ers alone who question this self-censored wannabe developer.

I dropped my pledge well over a year ago(Because that's what people with common sense do), and i still have some contact every now and then with some guys from his discord or patreon that are still pleding (One of them is even a tester for my project).
(why do they pledge, mostly because they just think it's worth the money to see this shit show develop .. People always like a good train wreck)
But the general consensus from the "lower" pledgers is they the highlighted part is probably what's going on.
Is there any proof for that at this stage, no ... Hell, even some other developers that i am in contact with say that there is no chance in hell that Gumdrop is able to maintain this financial support without doing some "shady" shit.
And honestly, if you pledge for those reasons ... To receive some shady shit and maintain it as a cover.... Good for you, i've got (no) issues with you.
But those that still support him because they believe his promises and still expect a game ... Well, shit....

I've been away from this game for a very long time (1.5 yrs or so), and just updated and played through the most recent stuff. I wanted to come in here and compliment the writing, as it is some of the best of any h-game I've ever played, and............

Sure, if you are still stuck in your angsty teen phase and don't ever read anything more sophisticated than avengers comics, then this might come off as "good writing". But by any objective standard it isn't, it's the typical nonsense that you would expect from a pretentious high school senior. Read my review to see the obvious issues with the writing.
A good question to ask yourself is: "if I had to explain this story to another person, what would you tell him/her?". If you can't come up with anything remotely cohesive or interesting, then it's hardly a good story. In this case the answer would be "angsty teen wants to fuck his depressed family, and random events like rapes happen without explanation". Even the game itself admits that in the very first screen (see my review). There is no structure or plot whatsoever here. Hence I can't believe how many people still insist on calling this mess "good writing". But then you realize there are still people here defending a scam, and it all makes more sense.
The fact that he set up a supposed alternative payment system which we now know was created while having virtually no idea about what to do in the future (he went on to do nothing for a year and counting) is indeed suspicious.
