sometimes I wish, I would have found this forum, patreon and Date Arianne on Youtube 10 years later. I´ve no doubt, that this game is going to be one of the best western adult incest games, if ever finished, but I think it takes him between 5 - 10 years before finish. Who can say, that nothing happens until then to him, me or some other, who plays this game. It´s comparable to the japanese games. I tried some and they took me 5 - 10 days to finish, if I played them every day for 5 hours (and that´s just one possible outcome of many). Many of them were developed on the beginning of 2000. Can´t imagine, how long development-time was until end-product, but I hope, he´s not going to do a one piece
lol, you are being way too optimistic. Japanese games are actually made by professionals who have to meet deadlines and have tons of experience.
The story in this game as it currently stands is full of plot holes, and relies on Gumdrop's fanboys filling the holes with far fetched arguments. The over the top, cheesy aggression between characters is an example of that. Also, in what world does a character rape his aunt only to not even think about it later? this is just bad writing.
Honestly, I doubt this game will ever be finished, let alone finished in any cohesive or satisfactory manner, due to a combination of the dev clearly not having a good story in mind (that's why there are ridiculous continuity problems and why he keeps jumping from random rapes and arcs, like the beach arc, to trivial crap and pretending nothing happened later), and the development becoming a big never-ending advertisement, which is sort of an admission of the former. If he legitimately believed in the quality of the product he would be seeking to increase the number of patrons, but he has stalled its progress for half a year. Faster updates mean more exposure and help in getting feedback to attract more patrons.
At this point, it's hard not to see what he is doing: exploit the game and its current, most dedicated supporters for as much as he can by stalling it, knowing that the final product will almost certainly disappoint many of them. It's like the TV show Lost, which had dedicated fans that spent more time thinking about how to justify the problems with the story than the writers themselves. Once the show started reaching its final seasons, it collapsed; the show is now dismissed as yet another popcorn show.
In a sense, this thread keeps showing the double standards in this community, even if criticism is common. For example, if a Russian or non-native English speaking dev (who can't use language to sugar coat their excuses) did what Gumdrop is doing he/she would never be afforded the benefit of the doubt.
