I'm not sure but there was some talk of it being discontinued (mods' decision?) If someone who knows could kindly clarify it.
And yes it was one of the most entertaining things here, humour and info nicely bundled in a single package and that too regularly (quite ironic considering the "regularity" of this game)

This is a great game for story, but the linear nature of it makes me hate the "freedom of choice" appearance of it.

You are shoe horned into a path that you cannot escape. I did everything in my power to direct the Father off the Daughter, and it did nothing. Same for the Son, I did everything I could to make the relationship with the mother Platonic and kept hoping those "Points" were going to let him interact with the Sister more and it did nothing.

I have no idea why the Dev even put that Point System in for multiple characters if you are ever only allowed the one path.

Still busy with the final bows and ties, this week's dev update will be SUPER short and a break from the usual exposition. I'd like to take this opportunity to announce what I've been cooking up this month!
Come join me December 26th, 12 PM PST for some ol' fun, hopefully after a relaxing Christmas Day. It's not quite time for Part X's release (in all its animated, scene and action-packed glory), however I still have some gifts I'd like to share with you for the holidays. I wouldn't dare leave you empty handed for Christmas, not without a cute lady or two. :]

Thanks for the post friend. It's nice to see some stuff actually posted every once in a while.

I'd say the update has about 2 weeks left to cook. The Dev. updated being short, and Gumdrop having pretty much nothing to say on it are very telling that it's nearing completion. I'd say in a weeks time he'll announce that the renders have been completed, and another week with some change for the release.

If I had to put money on it, the update will probably release a week before his "absurdly large time cushion slapped on" deadline of January 25th.

I still think it's nuts that there was only 1 update for the game in 2018. That's insane.

It's even more absurd people have donated over 100,000 dollars to him in that time. And it's even more absurd when you realize that 1 update is just 1 of 30 parts and there are still 20 more parts to go and that it will have taken him nearly 2 years just to finish the first act of the game. At this rate this game won't be done until the beginning of 2023.

But the most absurd part is that his patreon supporters don't even realize that gumdrop is purposefully delaying releases and taking his sweet ass time to make these updates so that he can collect more checks. But I can't really blame him for milking his supporters, he will end up making well over 500,000 dollars before this game is even released and if I were making a game and had supporters who are completely unaware they're being milked I'd do the same thing. Can't blame the guy really, it's a lot of free and easy money.

- you know being a patreon means you have some privileges of playing early(and some other shits) than non payers. WE on the other hand dont give him anything but negative comments and response.
we even play the game on the same day it releases , lmfao.* kudos to our brothers.*
some of us even spread the word not to pay him. so we are making his earning lower, even if by a bit. I'll be surprised if any of us still pay him till day. and I'm sure in January the number of patreons will increase just to pirate this and will discontinue
- i dont understand how earning him 10k a month should be a problem. it shows how successful con artist he is and even after knowing some still pay him. if they are not minding giving their money, why should someone else care ?!?!
