It would be funny if it he did it because of the on-hold tag, but that doesn't matter, he's done and broke dates in the past and the tag will stay until there's a new version in the OP or the game is set to abandon.

Can ordinary users of the site file a petition to the site administration with a request to change the development status to "abandoned"? And if so, how?

At the bottom of each post including the first post that holds the game is the "Report" button, click on that and make a report of it.

I get the feeling this game is just one big money laundering scheme. Create a whole bunch of fake patron accounts to channel the dirty money, invest in the "game" that hasn't existed in a long time, put some post every once in a while to make it seem legit and voila. It's the only thing that make sense.

Because reasons like found in post by ZenGarden above. Or read back in the thread, and you see the rules in regard of what is needed for something to be tagged abandoned is posted several times over. There is a warning in the OP for those that pay attention to such at all.
its more believable, however unlikely, than the sudden up turn in patreons even before the release announcement..... no release for 15 months, proven and well documented evidence of either his lack of work ethic, his immense milking skills or his penchant for lying/bullshit.... nothing logical going on here so no point trying to apply it.

Well, go and make a dozen Patreon accounts then, and try make a payment with said dozen accounts to the same creator, see how well that goes for you. Now, try replicate it with 100's of accounts in stead. To claim something and to prove something is two different things.
sorry guys it's a life that by now I don't follow this game anymore, so I have a question, will the animations be in the next update?
