Is the Dev scamming people of their money by continuously delaying the game without release? That's tuff

His Patreon numbers seem to have increased it seems there are some people who still have hope in him.

GimpDrop is no better than the people that prey on the ignorant out of a pretty substantial amount of money. He could be making fuckable, stuffed teddy bears for all I care, but it's the fact he's intentionally misleading gullible folks that I have a bone to pick. That's 90k~ that could go towards either bettering someone's own life, donating to a good cause that could potentially save someone else's, or even supporting a creator that actually deserves it.
I can respect that you'd give me a heads up, but what kind of backwards-ass logic abyss did you have to reach into to come up with your conclusion that my beef was with someone not meeting my expectations in a porn game? This is just blatant theft in which he provides no positive influence on society based on his own ethics in-so-far as we can gleam. You tell me, what good is he?
At this point, I've actually changed my mind. By all means, funnel money into hopeless causes. This community gets exactly what it deserves. I've dabbled in quite a few different conversational media such as forums/reddit/facebook and the like. The people responding to me have got to be at the absolute bottom in terms of intelligence. Jesus christ, not even 4chan was this bad. I believe I'm just going to go back to lurking and pirating. There's no hope for any kind of rational exchange here.
First of all i have to clarify that i don´t want to defend and 1 year+ update cycle and criticism is definetly right. And yes, there are devs out there that deserve more than they have, but why becoming that upset that you wish death on someone?
He has to have done some unspeakable things to you personally for being that bitter. And yeah, he hasn´t forced anyone to pledge and as far as i know he hasn´t come up with x release dates and then missed them? (please correct me if i am wrong on this because i am not 100% sure)
But right now to be honest i don´t know if i should laugh about your posts or have pity for you.
And because i don´t think this could develop in a normal conversation anymore, i am out.

He needs more free money. he knows if he announced the release is soon more people will pledge at the same time then he can quickly delay the game again go off on his summer vaction. But hey here is the pictures..
Last year he was making more the 12.000 a month Doing shit. 4.000 is a huge hit. with that 4.000 he could be having expensive wine and eat caviaar.Lemme take a step back and address all your points. I'll be doing this in a numerical format just for the sake of simplicity and because I'm pretty lazy.
1. Cancer isn't a death sentence. You're roughly 70% likely to survive cancer on average. That comment was mainly to target that he deserves some sort of karmic repercussions. As far as the internet's concerned, cancer is the catch-all be-all of "just desserts".
2. Gumdrop has never done anything to me personally, nor have I suffered from any of the examples I used to correlate his behavior. I simply find it morally reprehensible that he's making bank on honest folks' livings - or do you honestly believe he's going to use the money he's "earned" to better the world in some way?
3. Patreon is a shit platform that provides very little information to consumers. This shows in the fact that something that hasn't been updated in a year(I've rescued 2 kittens and had a son in this time frame) still somehow has a /growth/ of subscribers.
4. When you set a trend in performance, then renege, you are solely responsible for your own actions. From the bottom-of-the-barrel, drone-level employee in some bum-fuck cashier job to a high-level management role in an IT company, this one truth stays the same: Your boss/consumers have a few questions for you(I've been on both sides of the equation over the last 20 years, multiple times). When there is a demand, there is a supply. When you provide a service, your recipients expect some kind of return. This is economics 101(More like economics 099 but I digress).
5. Laugh, cry, both, I don't care. It's a matter of morality more-so than a matter-of-fact. Should people know better in an age of information? Yes. Will they? No. It's up to the few good souls(Fuck, now I sound like a narcissist) to shine a spotlight on what I'd presume most normal folks would consider "Absolute bullshit".
Taking context and person out of the equation, I could easily just dismiss your opinion as internet trolling. Because you don't provide more than a few lines to elaborate your position or show some kind of background or reasoning to why you'd feel XYZ. So far all you've done is zero'd in on a few keywords, provided a response to a woe-fully surface-level depiction of my argument, reported it(Because obviously you can't handle a real exchange of ideas. Who knows, you may actually change my mind if you could be fucked to do so), then walked away with the portrayal of being the better man, when you inserted absolutely zero of your own views besides the basic commonality of "Human lives are precious and wishing harm on that is wrong 100% of the time, all the time. I guess you've never heard of Osama Bin Laden or Charles Manson to properly regulate your value of human life).
Don't enter the ring if you're not willing to actually divulge your own perspectives/opinions(Read: Fight) and tolerate them being challenged. I've been to new years' eve parties, I've seen the guy that can't keep up with the conversation and wander off into the yard, drunk, staring at the sky. Don't be that guy. Either step up or step aside, there's no middle ground in that respect. However I do apologize if I come off or came off(hehe) aggressive, it's just how I handle debates since the majority of the folks I deal with like to talk around in circles. Negative, no milking was mentioned. Corrected some dimwit about US summertime, then proceeded to comment that we were all still guessing about the release date, before stating that I was surprised Gumdrop still had any goodwill left to burn. Guessing it was the last part that got me banned. Harsh maybe but honestly who cares. It was an utter waste of time being part of his discord community due to the fact that the only people who comment there are the "it'll come out when it's ready" crowd. Most grow quickly frustrated by any negative talk of the Dev and seem to be able to look past Gumdrops many flaws or blatant milking, wherever you stand on that argument. All things being said, Gumdrop is a developer I will never trust with my money and I will gladly tell anyone that will listen to stay well away. I'm sure the update will be competent but the good stuff that people are waiting for won't be properly satiated with it.

People doesn't exactly pledge to creators on Patreon at gun point. There is a free will to do so. Just as they have the free will to cancel their pledges when doesn't see the results they hoped for.
You not likely to get people to stop pledge, and pledge their money to what you think is more worthy, any more than you are to get dimwits to stop chanting "send her out". People will only change their mind for whatever reason when themselves decide to, not because someone else tell them.

I love his discord shits dead as fuck, I swear his Patreons are bots no way he makes that much money and his discord is dead.
He gets 100k a year on top of his real job (no way he does this fulltime, scammers usually have a safe job too). That he could be paying some shills is not far fetched considering his entire gig relies on shilling/marketing. To put this into perspective: more months have passed in the scamming phase than in the "legitimate" phase (even then he pulled out delays left and right). He has relied on scamming for longer than he has relied on doing honest work. By any objective measure, his "business" is scamming. Shilling is the bread and butter of it.

You are being played too. Almost certainly, there is no such thing (other than some mediocre stuff put together to keep scamming). If there was he would have provided evidence of it in the last 1.5 years. Instead you got those "pinups" which don't show any assets (not even clothes), any environments, and don't require any scene setup. The kind of thing you can do in a less than an hour. This is most definitely a full blown scam, not just milking.
