I saw his discord, he mention to someone which that person was saying it was kinda scam 1 year and something and show 0 updates etc..., he goes saying that he is devolping the best game ever it needs time and the release date will depend on his animator (animator thing feels like SS) and he is not forcing anyone to keep patreon.
How very surprising that gumdrop uses the animator as an excuse. (sarcasm mode off)
Almost all thread oldtimers, with the exception of Josh and some other excusers, were sure already at the annoucement of an animator that gumdrop would use him as an excuse for delays later on. According to Joshua Tree the animator exists, but what Josh overlooks is that while the guy might be real, it is unknown if gumdrop ever ordered animations from him or if that is the case, gumdrop might sit on the completed animations to further stretch the time.
Alternatively, this animator could be a pal of gumdrop, just existing does say nothing of his relations.
But anyway, gumdrop is a proven liar and milker. Part 10 is either not dome at all or already long finished (for what the low quality animation spoilers would be a hint of), with "our favourite dev" testing how long he can milk the patreons without delivering.
I think gummy is as totally amazed as we are how long you can dupe some people with verbal diar... and idiotic, unbelivable excuses.

I believe GD did announce or mention the name of the animator sometime before the xmas release he did, and he did include a sample of animation at the end of it, after some wall of text. And he been name dropped after that as well, so it's not "according" to me. I just refer to him when it being questioned. So far none that did question this animator had their balls drop far enough to reach out and probe his head about this. It's far easier to sit on a gavel and point and gab their mouth after all.
Tbh, I doubt we get a update at the date he announced last as well, but not because he didn't get an animator, but because I think he painted himself into a horrible "catch up" grind. The problem anyone that promise the moon suffer when can't deliver.
This game turned into the "no man sky" of adult games (before it did redeem itself).

I did ask him though (on Twitter). Didn't answer yet. If he does I'll let everyone know.
I sent an email to the animator with detailed questions as well. It's been 3 weeks since then. I'll wait of course but the trolls defense "just ask him" doesn't work. I did and he didn't answer. Should I get a ticket to the USA and walk to his door?

He promissed the animator monthly pay and then just send a vacation foto with message sorry i could not pay you this month but here is my vacation pictures. please keep the animations cuming, Cumming oh shit you get the picture...

Joshua Tree No Mans Sky was a game that was released and people gave it shit because it was not what was promised. Here we have nothing to complain about because there was no release at all for a fucking porn game with pictures about a son and a mother having sex not about traveling to an infinite number of planets and discovering new life.
And btw No Mans Sky was fixed in the past year and it's a decent game now. So that dev made a shit game and then redid his game all in a year.
It's a shame really to compare the two. No Mans Sky is a bit more complex than a silly porn game with pictures, don't you think?
But if I think of it I might finish No Mans Sky before the release of Dual Family.
And No Mans Sky is an INFINITE game hue hue hue.

I'm sure you missed the part of "Before it did redeem itself", by accident right? Or reading comprehension maybe not your strong side?. Also news flash for you Jack... Adult games doesn't necessary mean porn games. Just like movies for adults doesn't necessary mean porn either. Adult transfers to grown ups, coming of age... so on.
A shit storm is a shit storm regardless, and NMS endured a giant one, before the devs did redeem the situation.

I think a better comparison would be Star Citizen. Both games have had their development drag on and both games have scammed their customers unmercifully. And both games give us no clue when they will ever be released.

No, the goto idea of them is to bring you a live service game, where they put straw into your pocket and suck on as leeches. And bring you "surprise mechanics" in the form of loot boxes and crap. The execs of those companies should been blessed with an everlasting diarrhea.

Star Citizen is stuck in a evil cycle of cash grabbing. Create assets (ships) to sell before the game is ready. But the money they keep get in seems to just go back into create more assets to sell, rather than actual development. Although I had high hopes for this game, as "Chris Roberts", have some previous titles under his belt that was quite good, such as "Freelancer" which I played a lot back in the day. What Star Citizen started out as and what it's turning into is like miles apart. Now its like some kid gone into a ice cream shop, and trying to stack every flavor on top of a ice cream cone and just watch it collapse under its own weight.
GD I think is stuck in a hopeless "catch up grind". If you look at what he made already, that doesn't really compute very well with if it was just intended as a cash grab from the start. More serious, or at least grounded devs would made a roadmap and then stuck with it. And whatever else of improvements and add on's would get released and added on afterwards. I guess its the difference between people who actually have it as their full time job, and those that watched their hobby balloon on them.

Holy crap. I was at sea for 10 months, have been on vacation for a few months and still no new version? Damn son. It's like Mount & Blade 2 :Bannerlord. Wait... Could it be the same devs?
