They are professionals in most part, and have a real experience, and most of this patreon people are amateur in every kind of sense. It's good when dev then hire some writer along the way, but if not, and his\her cringy "writing style" continues whole time... i mean it's not bad, because someone always will like even that, or just don't care about that at all. That's maybe why some people can be lazy on patreon. Because you (as newcomer) may think that people will eat pretty much everything you throw them. Why do you need to look up for some decent story to take inspiration from, when you can have large fanbase even without it.
I think if any game dev actually went into partnership with some erotica writer to make something somwhat believeable in form of story and add a nice flow of scenes to it. They could end up very successfull. For those that just want some 3d cg stuff to blow their knob too. There is a lot better fap'able material out there imho. Tbh, only thing I found of interest lately been GoodGirlGoneBad by Eva Kiss.
