His next excuse will be one of the following:

- He is in cancer treatment
- He is in rehab for a blow addiction.
- His vagina prolapsed.

His minions will all be in mourning for the announcement of any of the above.

I don't understand how any Ren'py game doesn't come with a linux build along side the win/mac, especially considering that you have to actively say 'No' to the default win/linux combo when you compile your game using Ren'py. It's unfortunate... This game looked interesting.

How would that work if the only libraries available within the game to the end-user are windows or mac and I'm definitely not on either of those? As far as I'm aware Ren'py SDK is just the program that builds the game using the Ren'py engine, does it also convert pre-built games into other - for lack of a better term - flavors?

Have you tried running the Windows version using wine?

That's one option, but yeah, no way am I installing wine. Don't need the security issues a Windows translation layer would introduce. Not that I would have issues, but why risk it for a porn game, especially when said game should have a native version by default...? Plus, from what I've read, wine doesn't always work with everything or run that smoothly when it does.

I know this is another: "Here's someone complaining about linux support again..." But in this case, I'm just saying that Ren'py by default compiles the Win/Linux versions as a bundle; odd that the dev would choose to omit the linux version.

First off, I am not accusing the dev of anything what follows because I have no proof for anything.

But if (and only if) some of the accusations of fraud are true, then I tend to think there's a simple reason for not providing a linux version. RenPy is just a python framework, and you are actually able to inject arbitrary python code into RenPy games, or even replace the binaries with patched ones. Trust into RenPy games is high, because you basically always have false positives and never actually any virus in these games. False positives come along quite often, but there are easy ways to circumvent them, otherwise the devs wouldn't be able to resolve it. True positives can only happen for viruses the antivirus providers already know about, so new viruses simply are not detected until they know about them. What could (I repeat, could) be the case here is the following (which is, I repeat, just a theory not based on actual facts): the dev wrote a virus for windows and only provided a mac version to provide an alibi, because he couldn't write a virus for the other platforms, and linux people are more techie than mac users and would probably spot such things, even while their market share is far below those of mac users.

Just a theory. Not based on facts. If you hop onto this train, make sure you find proof before saying anything. I am just saying this so people with better analysis skills than mine might want to take a look into this and proof or disprove what I'm saying.

I am not saying the dev is actually doing this. But I started to think it's a possibility after reading how he's behaving.

Keep calm. He's not guilty unless proven otherwise.

The sdk includes the full engine. You can copy the game folder from any renpy game into the sdk and run it from there.

When I started to think about it, that's the conclusion I came to, should've been the first thing I thought of honesty. Though I imagine I would have to un-archive the rpas and convert the rpycs(I would rebuild the game to avoid my renpy-sdk from becoming filled with projects that aren't mine); two simple commands and practically zero work, but still... Not sure I want to do that for, what I now know to be, an abandoned game.

I just move the game folder back to it's original location when I am not playing that one. You still end up with one per game and only one extra for the sdk.
