This game seems right up my alley so I tried it and here's my feedback. First of all there's a lot of stuff that either serves no purpose or isn't clearly explained. Like why wouldn't I give her the most filling food at all times? What purpose does fitness serve? Need more information, even if to say that it serves no purpose. On a separate and probably the most important note, the training of each girl goes by really fast and is not very satisfying. Maybe it's because all sessions are almost exactly the same and there's nothing to read so it's just spamming the fast forward button. The core concept of you not talking to the girls while they go through the process is fundamentally bad because it means there's no feedback from them which means the corruption is not very rewarding. The fact that there's time limits also sucks. I hope you don't my opinions the wrong way, I want the game to succeed as much as you do. Cheers
Hey thanks for that feedback! Totally welcome them and I generally see feedback as positive things. I really agree with several of your points, but I'll break everything down a bit:
Food will cost money in the future, so it'll become a balancing at at some point. Unfortunately implementing finances will be an all or nothing thing, so I need to do a bit more before including it. However the game wouldn't work without the food at all so I decided to leave them in!
Fitness will serve a purpose once I've developed a few more linked mechanics: slave stats and base management - where a subject's end stats will have an influence on your progress.
I'm not sure how to present those information without cluttering the UI atm, so I chose not to say anything yet, but maybe I'll add a notification pop up in a future version?
Regarding training: I absolutely agree with this - I'd even say I'm currently a bit disappointed when I look at it. However it's also the area that's being constantly looked at and refined as a result (which is why save games won't work between versions!). One of my August milestones is to develop the hypnosis mechanics so that it requires more input / be more interactive. Unfortunately it does mean new content isn't added at the end.
I have to admit I didn't start off with a strong game design, I just have the idea that this is the type of game I want to play, and I'm slowly fleshing out the details after the broad strokes. Hopefully when all the details are in for the training of subjects, it'll feel more enjoyable and satisfying.
I'm also updating the feedback system to better show the progressive corruption / enslavement of subjects. I was hoping to have time to do it this week but it's being pushed to next week (for my patrons) currently. Hopefully with the hypnosis mechanics, new feedbacks and more leisure activities, the process will be more enjoyable.
For the record, at some point I'll be working on a soft time-limit on subject training duration, so you can actually stretch beyond the 30 days - with potential consequences.
Also, I'll also be working on slave training as well to further change the personalities of the slaves. Right now, the programming instills loyalty to the player, but not the morality of the slaves - so they'll do things that they feel harm no others. The reason I planned this in was exactly because of the problem of the time limit - I didn't want time limit to ruin the enjoyment of slow corruption, so it's kind of like a phase one mind control process before phase two when you really mould your slaves into the way you want.
Hopefully this gives some insight into what the future game will look like. However please bear in mind development will be slow as I'm not particularly experienced and I'm still working a job on top! Once my Patreon reaches certain goals, I'd be able to go full-time and get a bit more full steam ahead!
