No, you're misremembering on that 4 weeks. The first 4 weeks was supposed to be a more linear visual novel style game as it has been, but after that the game was supposed to transition into a more open world style game where you pick and choose the stories/characters you want to pursue more or less. It was going to be controversial switching over the design of the game too, but I guess we'll never know how much now since we got hit with a bigger controversial topic, which is that the dev refuses to work on the game, etc.

This is correct. I was looking forward to more girls getting content without the plot bending into itself in order to get us into a scenario with them. It's a shame it fizzled out.

Honestly, I'd be fine at this point with him putting this project on hold to work on something much smaller scale and coming back to Ecchi Sensei at a later date if it's just a matter of the scale being to overwhelming. Can't really know what his reasoning is, though, since it gets super defensive whenever anything is brought up now. I'm not convinced it's just greed since I can't imagine the money he makes these days is worth the beating his reputation has taken. Same with the rest of his team. Who in their right mind would work with any of these people after this shit show?

Honey Select 2 and its modding community has many free assets (not really free, but all the developers using Honey Select, Ai Shoujo, Honey Select 2, etc. for creating renders dont care and dont sell their own games). BlueCat uses the older game Playhome or Honey Select?

About the Renpy programming part. As far as I remember Ecchi Sensei is a linear story - with simple menu options skipping parts. So if you have the dialogue and renders done ;) it is mostly copy/paste + showing renders by using their file names.

Did a search for 'unofficial merge' by member Dukez and found:

New saves only as old saves won't work.
Speaking of saves, for some reason the saves won't save into the usual %appdata%/renpy folders for me but it may not affect you. If you want to back them up after I would recommend copying them out of the game folder if you also run into this problem.

The merge includes Day 1 through 23. You can view the changelog of the things I did below.
This has been compressed down from 22GB~ to 3GB~.
Patch content is in a separate file that has to be extracted into the game folder.

Added a hotfix to address a bug that may come up. Recommended to merge with your game.

Would it really be worth it to continue the game instead of grabbing the good bits and starting completely over?
The story could certainly benefit from some rewrites considering how inconsistent and Gary-Stu the MC always was.
Him always screaming "MUH FAMILY!" but then letting his distraught oldest daughter run off into the night just cause some (at that point)stranger offers him a bj always annoyed the heck out of me.

It would certainly be nice if someone could pick up the project where it left off. But I think that, in addition to changing the name of the game, there are copyright problems. I hope not, and good luck to anyone who wants to try

Anyone else get the impression that Blue wasn't as committed to the "No sharing" rule he put down? We have a lab for brainwashing, and a brothel where we're given VIP access that bunch of the girls work at, so it feels like the groundwork is being set up for a pimping game.

Maybe I'm just looking to much into due to long having nothing new to talk about.

Considering it's supposed to have multiple endings, it seems likely that could be one of the paths it could go.
