DO you have any mods installed? i even removed the incest patch when i did it. They stated the mods prevent progress but not sure about the incest patch but i removed it just incase.

And my "Gallery" button doesn't work at all. Maybe the gallery is filled up as you progress through the game?...

The gallery is not implemented yet. It will be available in v0.60.
Where did you get that?As I understand it...there is no new content?
