So which game is this a sequel of? I might play the prequel first before playing this one
After playing a few hours, mostly for the characters and the development of the world (im fan of the circle, loved the colorful design of the heroines and enemies in others games), i thought can be considered a "continuation" in narrative terms of the game "Lily knight saga". But each game of the circle is pretty big, with his own history and characters, so cannot be taked like a direct sequel

Finished the game, did all quests, killed all monsters, seen all H-scenes, killed the final boss without weakening it by using lightning magic, despite it resisting magic. (Ceci is absolutely overpowered at high levels. It's absurd how much you can stack lightning damage with Soak and her skill)

Still don't have the fucking 15th Vert token. Considering how I have 16 tokens from every other group, I somehow missed even the spare one. What the fuck.

I think I read somewhere that to complete the token is from post-game.
Haven't continue this game btw.

And yes Cecilia is damn OP, she is my main DD in every lineup.

Nope, you're thinking of the Treasure Hints. Let me check the list of Vert Tokens for a second:
1 - Shining spot in the forest before Valne.
2 - Shining spot in the goblin plateau.
3 - Inside the giant magical touch, defeating one of the minibosses.
4 - Third highway, inside a hole.
5 - Greenery, completing the dog-walking request.
6 - Greenery, second treasure hint.
7 - Greenery, giving a perverted crystal to a guy in one of the houses.
8 - Kratovina, talking to an NPC after reaching Two Peaks.
9 - Minen's Flower Field, defeating the Jeiru War Elephant.
10 - Beach, give a perverted fish to an NPC in the nudist beach.
11 - Water Dragon Cave, talk to Akane after defeating all the slime minibosses.
12 - Piso Desert, inside a treasure chest in the bandit hideout.
13 - Fairy Jungle, Shining spot.
14 - Storm Valley East, shining spot in the northern route.
15 - Lava Tunnel, talk to the NPC after beating the Big Monster golem.
16 - Talk to Sabakka in Greenery after defeating the Great Demon Blaune boss.

It's slow in the early game, but once you start getting over ~60 it quickly snowballs as you quickly get a lot of new events unlocked (with repeatable ones like tentacle collecting or dancing).

Party wipe (and IIRC sleeping) has about a 50/50 chance of getting you some repeatable corruption, but it's a decently long game and you'll get it naturally as long as you do events as they come.

I apologize if this has been explained, I tried the search, but didn't see anything.

How do you complete the tentacle dungeon to unlock Sonia? I've cleared it up to that writhing hole in the wall, but I can't do anything with it? Am I supposed to have a party wipe to proegress?

I absolutely love this game. It may be the most fleshed out and in-depth H-game I've played. I wish it had some sort of battle loss/fuck system though. Ever since playing games like Sinisistar 1 and 2 I've become addicted to that sort of trope and have been searching for other games like it.

You need to advance the story enough to meet the other members of the Lani Mercenaries and then go back there.

Gotcha. Thank you. I was about to go talk to the Lani lady since I had run out of things to try.

This EKS and the upcoming NDS is a much more polished game than every game they ever released, but contoured differently as I suspected they are indeed trying some stuff [experimenting] (which haven't borne fruit yet).
Some will enjoy this game, but even so for certain avid fan of this circle have questions regarding this choices.
Nevertheless, it is among the most likable game so far, a breath of fresh air .

And to recruit them, here ya go
Your companion:
- Tatan. After joining Lani mercenary, go to Valne's branch bar
- Vanessa. Seiki Forest, at the Bridge before insect Hut
- Venaro Graunia. From Second Highway go east to Third Highway, rest at Third Highway Center Camp (Vanessa recruited)
- Zoe, Marlene. Rest at the Goblin Plateau Center Camp
- Cecilia. After Goblin Plateau Center Camp keep heading east, then northeast (Near Thunderclap Tower/Lightning Warding Towers)
- Sonia. 1st Highway, Small Fishing Village, Pilgrim's Way Entrance, Tentacle Cave (The Nun will be outside after clearing the cave)
- Anita. Renovating main base, and met other members of Lani Mercernary, then clear Tentacle Cave (in Pilgrim's Way, Male NPC give warning about Jam/Jelm Titan Monster, Magical Touch Tentacle Cave) *as soon as Goblin Plateau unlocked, you can progress further inside Tentacle Cave but enemy is quite tough thus recruiting other is important, but there's unique dialogue before Goblin Plateau unlocked if you try to enter the cave*
(You will get both Anita and Sonia by clearing Tentacle Cave, Anita is guaranteed, but you need to met the prerequisite to recruit Sonia)
- Hilda, Najiko, Sasurika. First Fort (get Karkos key to trigger)
- Eleanor, Kaya. After clearing First Fort (before sealing it) and unlock Third Highway, go to Valne's branch bar
- Silvie, Thyme. Go to Pilgrim's Way Entrance to Unlock Beach, need some amount of Fame to speak with Masked NPC
- Stacy, Jio. Clear beach event (subdue bandit inside the cave)
- Touju, Tsuzura. Fourth Highway, Fuchi Mountain Valley, inspect sign post near the stair
- Elchika. First Fort Sealed, Talk to Tatan at Greenery bar
- Apple. First Fort Sealed, building on the left near entrance of Two Peaks, then speak to Crystal Engineer at Kratovina Inn 2F
- Ryo, Reina. First Fort Sealed, Touju recruited, Doctor House in Enishi village (house on the left near entrance), go to Eastern Fountainhead, defeat the Milky Giant in Water Dragon Cave
- Wanda. 3rd Renovation, Eastern Fountainhead/Eastern Marsh, near water in the west, inspect the squirrel (Anita recruited)
- Jane. Seal Third Fort
- Rinnyan. Third Fort Sealed, go to Fuchi Village, speak to merchant in upper left, buy the requested items from merchant in the bottom center
- Yuuen. After Rinnyan recruited, go to Rinnyan home
- Shenera. Trade City Okea, Complete Scorpion Tei/Dark Ocean Scorpion Pavilion Event (Backstreet of Okea aka Brothel)
- Yasumin. 2nd Renovation, proceed to Main Square in Trade City Okea, return to Backstreet and speak with Najiko, go to Tailor 2F in Main Square
- Katrakut. Mioria chapter, Storm Valley
- Sedna. Mioria chapter, after clearing the Great Lightning Tower?
Yes, I've tried many stuff btw, Anita must be recruited or the squirrel won't appear. Meaning, can't recruit Wanda.
This game actually requires the player to clear prerequisite to continue/obtain otherwise you won't get it, some are not necessary tied to the story but nice addition to character relationship and lore.
Welp, true JRPG right there. (sometime clues are obscured or totally in plain sight)

Many different dialogue too if you have/do not have certain items or party member (recruit), sometime they talk about clues, innuendo, lore, etc (and yes ofc girls talk)

FYI, in case you or anyone else doesn't know yet.
Auto Text = A
Backlog = W/PageDOWN
Show/Hide Text = TAB/Right Click
Skip Dialogue = Ctrl/Alt

Having backlog is a must in this kind of games, easier to check past dialogue (or you can take note, backlog have limit).

Now that someone mentioned Sonia, many jp players says that she is the worst option for starting the game. I choosed her because I kinda liked her megaman stage select choice.

For those that choose her, remember to immediately recruit Vanessa and spam your healing items for the first big battle. Recruiting Vena will make it also easier, but you have to backtrack a bit (get Vanessa at the bridge then return to the snowy highway campfire to get Vena).

(depend on difficulty and player experience with the circle)
She is the best starting companion to quickly understanding the elements/gameplay.
But as stated in the game, there's only two of you, you will quickly get overwhelmed if you don't quickly recruit other member.
Sonia, nevertheless is useful though a dark horse.

With her as rescuer, Tatan, Zoe, Marlene is a must for safe journey early on and Vanessa or Cecilia as DD.

But if want to be safe, classic line up is Zoe & Marlene as rescuer, again as stated in the game, they are easy to recruit early game.
Beside they doesn't tell you much about elements/gameplay.

On the other hand, an avid fan of the circle can quickly breeze through with Touju & Tsuzura. As these players understand the elements/gameplay.
At the cost of limited equipment option early game.

Although, of course, different rescuer have different dialogue, it's fun and they tells different things based on their personality & relationship.
