Does the game have a good balance between the harem and poly routes? Or is one gonna be more favored over the other? I'm fine with going either or, I'm just curious. Because a lot of other AVNs that have multiple routes that I've played usually end up adding more content in one route as opposed to the other.

No they both will follow the same story line. The only main difference will be some extra dialogue and a couple of extra lewd scenes in the poly route.
