You really are knocking it out of the park with this one, been here since the first version but never said anything in fear it would be abandoned, almost a year and so many cool things have been added, hoping to another year full of this horny work of art
We still need those cumming animations tho ;)
Maybe open a discord where people can help you do variant animations or give ou more ideas ? here on f95 feedback is slow
and the guys here would kill for a good pokemon parody that doesn't get axed in two months
keep up the good stuff !

I might be stupid, how does SUPPLY work? Do you select anything or am I missing something? The only thing I can think of is I don't meet the cost of using them for whatever reason.

Please advise.

Simple really. Go to the page of supply you're looking for and use the mouse to select supplies.

I don't blame people for not realising to use the mouse because, y'know, everything else in the game is done through the keyboard. I too was too dumb to just try mousing over the icons.

Is there a specific area in which bug evolution stones can be gained, as I am seemingly entirely unable to get any.
The evo stones are entirely random per playthrough iirc, so you kind of need to work with what you get more than some preplanned thing

There isn't going to be a traditional save feature... But I think it has become necessary that the player gain the ability to save their specific monsters through runs.
Have you considered a system like FTL: Faster Than Light, where you can save your run at certain checkpoints to go do something else, but it wipes that run's save when you hit the gameover condition? I feel like that would fit your design idea as a roguelite without forcing players to do the entire run in a single sitting.

Anyone else confused on how to play?
WASD to move your cursor/character, R = A, F = B, Tab to open menu, shift to sprint. All right there in the main menu IIRC.

It was that simple?!

Ouch, thank you for the help, I actually can't believe that was the ONE thing I didn't try

Considering it's a rogue-like game, it makes sense there wouldn't be a traditional save feature. In terms of saving progress me thinks they will eventually add a reward system like most rogue-likes.

Start a session, get as far as you can, claim rewards, rinse & repeat. I'm willing to bet once they implement a performance reward system we'll get a save feature so your progress carries over.

That exact system is already in place, you earn points from survival/battle/breeding and spend them in future runs to get bonuses. There's more to flesh out on it, of course, but the core is in the game now. It's a good start, but I do still understand the desire for people to have a save system, just from the "it feels bad/makes the game pointless to lose my team when I quit" perspective.

On the other hand, that's pretty clearly something the dev wants to happen so the constant asking for it isn't going to go anywhere. I'd imagine the idea is that the limited-and-random-stone system combined with the constant restarting is intended to make you react to what the game gives and build around that instead of building some theoretical 'perfect team' and doing that every run.

There's downsides to this, obviously, as people are quite validly pointing out. I'd imagine a lot of the complaints would be silenced if there was an "ironman" save system that only had a single slot and deleted the save on loading it so no savescumming is possible (more of a pause/resume run), but to some extent it makes sense to me to focus on content first before working on that- save stuff is notoriously annoyingly break-y across frequent updates, so any save stuff done now would likely end up being invalidated fairly frequently anyways.

It's funny, I did catch a few shinies by chance but some of them that were shiny disappeared or transformed back into regulars. The Shiny brush tools do not work currently. Still waiting on a means to allow us to scroll or at least look at the rest of the stored monsters that you can't fully keep. Otherwise I do like what has been added. But something I hope gets fixed in some way is the movement. There were a handful of times when going back to base I couldn't get out because I was at a half pixel but one glitch I encountered caused me to sleep twice at a campfire. That and I do not fully understand the obedience system just yet. I hope all the best regardless in the coming updates should time permit it. Oh and one more thing. When having the different scouts act as breeders, you still have to move all the way to the right in order to select what you want. I hope the positioning for that gets fixed as well.

One thing I worry about with the points system is like in most games, eventually you stop spending them cause you either have an abundance of a resource or have all the upgrades. Having a sort of dumping system in place would help, maybe converting excess points into disposables or using them in a progression way, like resetting the fruit buffs on mons to rebuild them?

EDIT: I'm stupid, after finally sitting down to test the SUPPLY system properly I realized how far ahead the developer is.

Not sure if this's been asked before and I'm relatively new to the game and such, but does anyone know where to find Drakia and its pre-evolution? I can't seem to find it anywhere T.T

I finally had time to test the new update.

The shiny look good I was looking for a while and I managed to get a red-haired Kitsuna, I would really like to look for more shinis but between the time, that there is no way to move them to next run and the new recolor items there really is not much to motivate me to look for shinys at this time.

The portraits look great and the dialogues even if they are short give a general idea of the personality of each scout which makes me excited to see the personal missions that each one will have. Especially Cinder at the moment she is my favorite.

The monster voting looks good, I really like the variety you are implementing in the game instead of just women in thongs having real monsters adds a nice variety and speaking of variety FUCK YES SHORTSTACK SCOUT, LET'S GO.

That's the dragon one right? I'm almost certain they are found in the north-western part of the starting zone, just takes a bit of RNG.

I was rather offput by the reviews. All I have to say is what are people on when they are implying the game's difficult? A lot of the difficulty is RNG and what can you do when things aren't going your way, restart. There's not much progress to lose yet, getting a strong team is as simple as getting the stones from the stumps, and getting some fruit. When you have 2-3 leveled mons then random encounters are safe and you have enough healing items from the start to eat lots of damage while picking up what you want. Finally the end game currently is when your team's fully stacked with evolved mons is easy.
The one thing that is unfortunate is if your scout gets grabbed while you're gathering stones which more unlikely than likely if you're regularly trying to escape. And the fact is that grab hurts the enemy encounter more often than your team. Look at it like this, they're down one powerful mon while your team is up 1. And losing a scout isn't the end you keep your team, your bag, and can still press on. When the game gets longer and extra lives need to be conserved then the complaints will have more merit, if they aren't addressed by then.

Yup! The little "not" charizard lols, I wanna get a shiny one but can't friggen find her. Oh- and something I had happen was that I'd evolved a normal Drakia and it went from non-shiny to a red variation; is that supposed to happen?

Edit: it was my starting mon as I chose Ember to start with (Norma is the best scout idc, but Drakia seems to be super good and I love it)

Oddly enough Drakia is pretty good, although I've always gone out of my way to get a rock mon cause of how meaty they are. Specifically the rock lizard. (I apologize if I don't remember the names off the top of my head).

having one or two of them basically is very assuring during extended attempts. Aside from water or plant mons they can really take a hit.
