Glad someone spotted it, I wasn't sure if it only worked in my head I'll admit, the whole game only exists because I found the pun so funny and had to do it after it jumped to my mind

Thank you! I always really liked both Ellie and Abby's characters in the originals, and all the others as well. Nobody in those games is every fully good or evil, and that ties so nicely into the noir theme

I LOVE the show, can't get enough of it. It was really weird, I totally missed that they were doing it at all - like, I didn't hear a word of it. I went to research something on the wiki for this very game when I noticed that they had something about a TV show. Not only that, but that was also last Monday, so precisely the day the first episode went online.

A+ television, and probably the only game adaptation that is actually made by fans / developers of the game.

Not a bad start. Actually the start of the start was really good.
But I find it strange that the writing feels really good during the intro, I was getting vibes of Raymond Chandler or Elmore Leonard, and then the dialogues start and I wonder if I'm now watching Saved By The Bell.
And the urination scene felt weird, like out of nowhere with no transition and out of character. I guess maybe I didn't get who Ellie is in that short time so maybe it's me but, maybe the scene could do with some tweaking.
Visually I like the way renders are directed, although some issues with the eyeballs not being white was distracting.

Obviously it's early days so I guess the author has to find their voice and tone (plus dialogues are always harder to do), but there is something there.

I'm of the same generation as you and most certainly agree with your reluctance to dive into an uncoiffed muff, however, a game like this provides us all an opportunity to appreciate the primal visage of a shaggy, unkempt cunt without all the unpleasantries you just attributed to them.

IRL I certainly enjoy the feel of smooth skin and the spankability factor provided by a shaved mons, however, the prospect of watching a young fertile female go all carnal and fuck like an hairy animal instead of a polished pornstar Gives. Me. Shivers.

buttandhonor first of all congrats on starting your first game! I'm in a similar boat and have started development on my first Renpy as well (also using Daz renders)

Just from dev to dev some tips (if you don't mind?)
First of all you have some texture conflicts in the eyes this is most noticeable


And secondly the image is not fully rendered you need to change the rendering settings. These are my settings and I find they work quite well

Oh, that's good, I totally agree that I kinda ended up dropping the voice overs halfway through for no reason. I'll think of something and include it when I publish the second episode.
