I don't believe they've actually abandoned it. It's just that F95 automatically adds that label to a game thread if enough time has passed without a progress update or a release. I'm going to continue to assume Worlaix is working on Chapter 6 still.

Their last patreon update was in May so they might still be working on it, but I'm not holding my breath. Shame if it is abandoned. I rather liked this one.

Don't skewer me because I'm not an artist so I'm really ignorant but what takes so long in games like this that use sprites and kind off cookie cutter backgrounds for most scenes?
Is it the writing/coding? Or do the limited hand drawn art pieces really take that long? Not as if I expect author to make it a full time job when they probably make a pittance I'm just curious.

There's a few H scenes. Not a lot since its more story driven from what I remember.

Meh, that's F95's label. I have every reason to believe Worlaix is still working on this as he's able. As has been pointed out multiple times in this thread, hand-drawn art is very time-consuming. I have a couple of friends who hand draw and it always takes them awhile if they do anything more than light sketches with a bit of shading here and there. And that's for a single drawing; if you multiply that across however many are needed for a VN like this, that drastically increases the total time required. I wouldn't worry too much about F95 slapping the label on this thread.
The dev has interacted in discord and it seem like the huge delay is due to him graduating and now having a Job. Sadly the game doesn't play the bills. So he now only works on the game on the weekends.
Honestly, good for him. Hope he puts something out soon, but get your bag Worlax.

He didn't write anything since august
and the last thing about the game was even earlier in Julythis is what is usually the end with games like this. as good as everything is. you have to somehow confiance your artist to stick with you till the and. and lets be honest, the´s not gonna happen unless you have a lot of money backing your project. this is one of this game that would have been amazing if there was a studio with real money behind it, but since this is not the case it is just to much a single person. thats just sad reality

Nah, that's fake. Someone likes and plays this game and threw something up, imagining a what-if scenario. There's no way that's actually a thing. If it were, given some of the names of the supposed cast (like Kristen Bell) and crew (like Rob Minkoff), it would 100% be on IMDb. It's not.

€171.9/month is almost nothing in Russia-East Europe from where Worlax is.
Worlax study to paint stuff before having graduating and having job for living.
And Worlax always stated this game as his hobby where he study how to paint stuff. It never was meant to be a project where he grab cash and promise something what he not do.
SInce 2021 it always was many months-half year-year between updates.
Maybe it would be faster if he would have at least +1000 € per month.
