Fuyou did mention they were making the levels less complex and less maze like (possibly because of complaints or to tone down the workload), the trade off though was that the levels became easier and smaller. Not surprised about the complaints though really, a lot of people playing this Hero Youth would have already played Battle Girland would be used to the more complex levels.
I'm liking the look of the next level, figured it would be underwater based off the first outfit design shown off in the previous post. Appearance changers look to be earrings, necklace, nipple piercings and underwater flaura, boss looks to have more than one loss scene and we see more of those otherworldly beings showing up.

I'd imagine that extra challenge content wasn't planned ahead of time. After the release of the demo, the dev noticed people were saying the game was too easy so they decided to work on this extra stuff in response to that. Compared to previous games, these early stages were much more linear than before at least that's what I got from playing it.
