For me Rachel is going to be the golden one, likely the last we catch. And I think that it's not the alcohol event that caused the problems really, but likely some unrequited love. I think Rachels bitch friend people has had a thing for Ashe, but because Ashe is Ashe and other issues, never picked up on it, but Rachel knows and such. BUT, I do also think and believe that Rachel probably has some feelings for Ashe on her own as well, but is trying to be respectful of sorts to her friend.
I mean if there's any possibility, I'd rather not be involved with Rachel. Regardless of whatever the reasons may be, the fact that she basically took a nuke to their entire relationship is enough to sour me on that character.
There's just no excuse for torching what's supposed to be a meaningful and deep relationship and you can't really come back from that unless Ashe just perpetually decides to never grow a backbone, but again it's a VN and doesn't mirror real life so I'm dead positive that there's zero chance of avoiding Rachel and I don't think she'll have a good enough redemption
for me, but that might just be because I've been around family members falling out in real life and I truthfully cannot recall a single instance where that was mended in a proper way.
But, whatever drives the narrative, unfortunately. Also, I HIGHLY doubt that she has feelings but is trying to be respectful to her friend as the only two friends we KNOW are involved with both Rachel and Ashe, is Fiona and Bella.
Fiona and Ashe doesn't have a romantic relationship and has never had anything of the kind, and I doubt Fiona had something for Ashe during the time where she dated Rachel.
Isabella on the other hand, Ashe and her have ALWAYS had fights and Rachel didn't do anything to remedy it, hence why I don't think that thesis holds any weight.
With Zoey, I think maybe your jumping the gun a bit. I think she is more fun time fun rather than manipulative fun. Not to mention we just met her so there isn't really alot to go off of. Could she be a chaos succubus, maybe. I'm willing to let myself get burned though.
Her fun
IS manipulative fun. The entire fact that we really haven't met her much and she off the bat initiates something that can easily turn into a very complex interpersonal situation between Ashe and Fiona or Fiona and her little sister gives me enough of an inkling as to what type of individual she is. She didn't think about consequences a single time and just played her own agenda. That isn't "chaotic", that's malicious.
As for Bella, she is pretty much akin to SGs Bella: Chaotic, kinda above it all, bit narcisistic. But, kinda again with Zoey, we don't really know her all that well, as we've only really seen one side of her. Maybe there is a side of her that is kinda softer and such. -Shrugs-
I will say, SG is my favourite game and Bella is my favourite character, so I almost feel slightly offended that there's a correlation drawn there. With SG, you could tell Bella has
something that drives her behaviour to be the way that it is, sure it just may be how SG is great at telling a story with subtleties, but EI Bella has had NO indication of any type of behaviour other than a narcissistic idiot who either knowingly pushes Ashe's buttons as much as humanly possible, or unknowingly does so and then takes offense when Ashe goes off.
I just can't see anything other than rage-bait when I look at her character. Sure, it might be a case of unreliable narrator but if the dev actively chooses to not let us see anything but that, there's no reason for us to assume that there's anything but that.
Also, I'd say Vanessa is more like SG's Bella, behavioural wise.
