Do people actually get "squeamish" about something so mundane as a brain? I mean, even if it is a human one, that is... Honestly pretty tame stuff.

...Though granted, I personally grew up in an environment where such things were commonplace, so maybe I am just really jaded when it comes to exposed organs and the like.

Yes, it is deeply unsettling to see a person's insides. That's why you should always keep them inside you while in polite company.

That is indeed quite true. In fact, I personally keep telling Malcolm as much, but he persistently insists on leaving his pancreas on the dinner table whenever we attend parties or other social functions. <Sighs and rolls eyes> That man really needs to get himself together.

Depends entirely on how bad those migraine attacks get. Some of them make you all fucked up for 2 - 3 days at times.

Source; been getting ocular migraines for the last 15 years or so, some of them fucking suck. I'm talking laying on the bathroom floor in complete darkness, throwing up, feeling like your head is going through an implosion event, feeling "hung over" for days afterwards and having a hard time thinking/doing shit.
Can relate, I have been having cluster migraines since I was 19, its literally the worst, period, the longest I've had a migraine episode lasted a week, a fkin' whole week.

The only thing I wanted when having such episodes is to flatline myself, everything is pain, pure and direct pain: breathing? the nerves on my nose feel like someone pushing hot needles on my brain, light of any kind? a soaring pain behind my eyes, noise? feels like someone is hammering my brain like it owes them money, make any movement? the base of the head feels like someone is pulling the nerves out, while giving you electroshocks, heartbeat? nice, even the flow of blood is painful, thinking? nope, your neurons are having a blast smacking each other with baseball bats covered in barbed wire.

Then comes the aftermath, everything feels off, like you're out of sync with your body, your thinking is like moving through molasses, and your reaction time is off, feels like you're hungover, but without a lot of the headaches, I wouldn't wish even my enemies to have to suffer something like that.

Ah, I forgot to mention, thanks to that I developed tinnitus... yep, wasn't enough having absurdly painful migraines, had to have the trinity: cluster migraines, tinnitus and sciatic nerve problems (apparently is an hereditary trait... such is life)

Sorry to hear that man, migraines really are unbelievably bad and I also wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemies.
Mine luckily aren't as bad as cluster migraines, but I also have the neat side-effect of going basically blind as my entire field of vision is filled with kaleidoscope effects more or less, headaches aren't as bad usually but the nausea is something else.

It's strange how the body is affected, you really do get this weird lagging, out of sync feeling with your body. I've always tried to explain it as feeling hungover to people who don't suffer from these things, but it isn't entirely accurate either.

Here's to hoping that there might be some functional medication in the future, and that MorriganRae's migraines aren't quite as bad, though "mild" ones still suck.

Well, my doc says that apparently I got one of the quite severe cases, there are even more severe, where they literally go blind and can get nausea so severe, they ended puking, and can't consume anything solid because the body rejects it, in my case I recognize the start of an episode because I start seeing colored sparks on my peripheral vision

Let's hope that Morri's are of a milder type, and that can recover soon

Hey everyone
I'm done with Part 5/6 and have now begun working on the final section of Ep. 6 !
Here is the progress:
Writing: 100%
Coding: 100%
Environments: 90%
New Characters: 7/7
Background Characters: 36/36
Renders: 87%
Part 1 (9:00pm): 852/852
Part 2 (10:00pm): 457/457
Part 3 (11:00pm): 632/632
Part 4 (12:30am): 1033/1033
Part 5 (2:00am): 604/604
Part 6 (3:00am): 50/600
Post-Processing: 60%
Music/Sound: 0%
Testing/Polish: 20%
Release date estimate: September 2025
Part 6 is where cum hits the fan, so I'm not going to spoil too much here . There are a bunch of different endings for this party, so a lot of these last renders are part of one of these exclusive paths that you only get to see with a certain set of decisions you've made.
On another note: I've added post-processing as a separate bullet point above. For the earlier episodes I would usually post-process images relatively soon after I've rendered them, but with this episode the images have been piling up and I've done it in larger chunks instead. I've post-processed about 600 images this week, which now adds up to about 2500 images fully done. Post-processing takes only about 30 seconds per image, so it's not a huge amount of work, but it still adds up a bit.
I've also started working on the last new environment. All in all it was a productive week! (+bonus: no migraines )
❤ Thanks for your support, and enjoy your weekend! ❤

I've got a question... what is a detail that you noticed, that you think most other people missed? For me, I have two. The first one is that, if you pay attention during the dinner with Vanessa, Moira, and Jessica, you can actually see the moment that Vanessa spikes Jessica's drink.

The other one is that while not ALL the music seems to directly relate to the scenes, there are songs for Vanessa, Rachel, and Fiona which all have lines that seem to encapsulate their current relationship to Ashe.

Vanessa: Her song, which plays when she makes out with Ashe, includes the chorus line "Can't get you out of my mind", which seems to fit since Ashe seems to have worked her way into Vanessa's thoughts.

Fiona: In her scene with Ashe, where they hookup at the end of the last chapter, her song repeatedly says "Yes it's true I've fallen hard for you, but I won't rush this love" which speaks to her reluctance to try and start something more after the fiasco with Rachel.

Rachel: In the scene of the flashback in the park where her and Ashe kiss, the song says "I wish I didn't care for you", which is proven true by her reaction the next morning.

It's just something interesting I noticed. I don't think it applies to every song or character, but these seemed to fit fairly well in my opinion.
Bro you are such a genius!

Putting my nerd glasses here for a sec, Morrigan produced 144 renders this last week, Morrigan has shown in the past they can produce 300 in a week, but lets say they keep at 144 a week, it would take at least a month to finish all the renders which would put the update at early october. That said there still 4 weeks left before the deadline is over so we should give Morrigan some grace for now

I said from the very beginning that it would be October! And then burnout.
