Riveting discussion. Considering it's shown that Ash is severely traumatized over her father's passing in an accident- an event that is implied to have some connection to Ash, that leads to her having mental terror attacks, it's plausible that she might have developed a split personality. One that hides away the pain and other that takes control. Movies like The Beautiful Mind goes deep into this phenomenon albeit the root cause and effect are much different there than here. There is however one problem with this "alter ego" theory.

She is just not getting emails. She is actually talking in real time with the blackmailer. Now schizophrenics do tend to have memory blackouts but, these intervals are significant. They don't snap in and out of personalities in seconds. Even if the "Other One" has a phone she is using to converse with Ash and is able to switch in control at whim, it makes little sense that she is able to do all that so blatantly with people around.

Also, Ash's mother did see someone drop off the box with the anal plug. Granted she didn't see her face or any distinct features to make a positive ident, unless the Other One is really a demon capable of teleportation, it would be highly improbable for schizo Ash to drop the box, leave and then somehow make it inside to her room without the mother noticing. So either Other One has an accomplice(very unlikely) or we are looking at another blackmailer.

So you're saying that reactions to Ashe's actions were written before they happened. That's predicting the future. That's even more impossible than stealth ninjas.
ChatGPT could do it :KEK:. It's not impossible just highly unlikely.
As for the stealth ninjas, you can't convince me whoever else could be doing this isn't super gifted in these areas.
The mixed drink and the kiss tasks happened in the public but the closed room with the stripper is hard to prove.
Unless the phone or the room was bugged, yes someone had to be skilled in stealth to get in and out undetected.

Lol. Stealth is much more realistic than predicting the future.

From my understanding the 3.5 to 4.5 months made sense until the game branches into 3 paths because until then most content was the same.

Seems perfectly normal to me that once they have to produce 3 different variations/paths that the increase of 50% in development time is only natural if we want that each of those paths have around the same content when was more linear, more branching equals more code, writing and more testing besides the extra renders.

It is the price to pay in a branching game, unless you prefer a 1 path game. I personally only play the Siren route and give a fast look at the kitten route, but others probably play all 3 paths or full on 2 of those paths but I'm not selfish even though I will never play the CQ path hehe, tried it a few scenes when the paths split and isn't for me but I respect those who enjoy it.

Edit: I'm not a patron but as long the developer communicates clearly with whom pay to help the development it is all great. Thanks to Jafo and AdaWongLina that often post here the devlogs, and every month I saw the progression of the development of this larger update (that the dev explained that thought to split it in 2 but wouldn't make sense, and after play the update clearly wouldn't work to split it).

I see many times members comparing development times in different games but why people compare when they don't have all information?

Some are solo devs and there is a few teams also, some bring more content per update and others less, some do it full time and others have daily jobs, some have great machine(s)/hardware and others probably started doing a game in a weaker machine or even in a laptop, some have more experience with all the software and other are still in a learning curve, some branch a lot and other prefer a more kinetic or semi-kinetic style etc etc.

I could go on all day giving examples why some take longer and others are or seem "faster". I never made a game but I can easily put on a creator shoes and get overwhelmed just thinking on all the work and organization that has to be done producing this games lmao. Communication from them is the key value in my view along with the overall quality of the product of course.
I'm not arguing, there is logic in your words: more paths, more time to develop individual events, etc.
But there is a small BUT!
The update that came out before this huge party already had a three-path split and different events and moments depending on the choices. But it didn't take 6 months to develop!
I will once again emphasize that returning to the previous schedule was the developer's word.
As i already said, 6 months is better than a year, but it turns out to be a carrot and stick approach: first dev increase the production time from 3.5-4.5 months to a year, and then dev reduce it back to 6 months. It seems like development time has been cut in half, but it all depends on who you ask and how they look at things!
I won't return to this topic anymore if 6 months is the final figure. If it increases, we can revisit this topic!

I have always liked this game, i always played three paths in it. But this big, long-awaited update was disappointing for me! Just like the GTA 6 delay by a year!
I like Kiten's path the most! It's the most believable path in this game, and it fits the characters' behavior and personality! But I always play the CuckQueen's Path first because it has sex scenes with characters who are not available in other routes, like Rachel, Evelyn, etc. For me, the last one is Siren Path. I play just to see a different perspective, and here everything is implausible. Ash, despite her modesty and shyness, behaves like a super alpha—it's not in her character.

To each their own but, while I understand your reasoning, I don't think the development of episode 6 is comparable to episode 5, even if it already took into account the 3 different branches. During the party, almost every single scene has 3 alternatives depending on the route, plus also taking into account if you partake in the drinking game or not, which stripper you choose, if you win or not, how drunk or sober Ashe is... I do believe that the next update will take little less time, but seeing how this one unfolded, it makes perfect sense to me how much Morrigan had to work on it.

As for the routes, it's up to preferences, so we're all a bit biased in that regard. I hate NTR, which is why I'll never even try the cuckquean route, and this is still one of my favorite AVNs. As to why I won't try that path, aside for my personal distate for the genre, it's simply because absolutely every single character does a 180 to the point in which it feels like an alternate universe. Sure, for the sake of the genre it makes sense for characters to do and behave a certain way, but it just feels as if they're different people, oftentimes contradicting what they've shown during four episodes. Plus, for me it's always been a no-no to watch sex scenes of characters before they're involved with my MC. Then again, like I said, this is a personal preference.

In terms of Kitten and Siren, they're definitely the best routes for me, but I disagree in the view of thinking that the Siren path makes Ashe some super alpha being, or at least one in which her character doesn't make sense. She's not alpha at all, just curious, confident and assertive. I see it more as a rebellion of being encapsulated for so long, she's taken too much shit already, and the blackmail from Mrs. X and the threat from Natasha were the last straw. You actually still see her insecure, and even afraid of certain things. However, with those she's already comfortable with, or with those whom she's had enough with (like Isabella), she'll start to behave however she feels like, no prejudices, no more second-guessing. Again, that's not some alpha behaviour to me, she's nothing like Cleo or, worse yet, Natasha. She doesn't force anyone to do anything, she also doesn't hesitate to be vulnerable when the need arises. She's still her own 'shy' self, but she's also breaking out of her shell, which is why I love that path, and why I think it's going to be really interesting to see how she deals with the exposure she's suffered in the Siren route.

What are your predictions for the next update? Mine is Ashe is gonna be staying locked up in her house only interacting in person with Rachel and Evelyn. Maybe Kate, Fiona, Delilah and on the cq path Stella. I don't think we are gonna interact much with Isabella or Vanessa

I think interactions with Isabella are possible, given her reaction to Ashe being a duplo and her attempt to reassure Vanessa. Perhaps she'll understand Ashe's problems and why Ashe remained a virgin for so long and come to apologize. In any case, it would be an interesting plot twist and character development.

It's definitely possible that Isabella will contact Ashe. I just doubt Ashe wants to see anyone who isn't part of her close circle. We will probably then revisit the scene of her most humiliating moment during 0.8 with Vanessa being the last character we interact with in 0.8.
