Those game updates get pirated immediately and if that is the only benefit to support a dev...its tougher to justify. By the way....frequent dev updates doesnt stop the avalanche of retards asking those questions. There isn't a single dev immune to that....especially here.yes, exactly, like game updates
so how do you expect to get patreon ? People first play from pirated sites then 1 in a 100 support dev through patreon .No one gonna support any dev without playing it first..This dev is copy pasting his depression message since 1 year. Many devs stopped their monthly pay in patreon if the game update will delayed.

If you solely rely on F95 to get your game out to the public, it will likely be abandoned by 0.5. A few examples that I'm close to....there's a thread here that is highly rated and has 500k views....dev has 169 patrons. Another dev of a game using Unity has over 100k unique, trackable users over a 90 day period....game has under 1k patrons. PhillyGames back in the DA days had a highly rated game that floundered as far as support.....2 dev recommendations on their own patreon accounts saved the game. I could keep going.
A lionshare of successful devs happen to not be active here (and don't do the BS cherry pick of 1 post etc)....wonder why that is? Look....ive pretty much given up on fighting leaked game releases minutes after release (pissing into the wind there)....if this forum was here to legitimately share info and advertise games, I'd be all for it....but it's just not. Now.....users here expect devs to be at their beck and call whenever asked the same questions over and over again. Fuck that.

If you think this is the only pirated site then you are wrong, The games you mentioned without taking their name i`m sure they are also available in at least one of the pirated sites. Dev recommend game , i highly doubt if a person paying a dev and the dev advertise another game then that person will will pay to that advertised game's dev without playing it first.. I`m in this gaming community(not in this site) for 3-4 years. I haven't seen or communicate with any people who payed first without playing, maybe you are the first.If you think pirated site is drowning the business then you are slightly wrong.Yeah its some people business is affecting negatively but if your making quality content then it will act as an advertisement.70-80% people are using pirated OS. almost 90% people are using free version of winrar winzip skype etc. They are still making millions.

For someone so against piracy and how its damaging to the devs you certainly are active on a pirate site.
The reality is that piracy is a doubled edged sword, specially for porn games. If you produce quality content and are consistent there is no place like piracy sites to get support, its not like you can advertise your porn game on TV (or afford to pay for advertisement in most cases). The other side of the swords cuts when you are inconsistent, refuse to communicate in a comprehensive way, don't show your work, pushing delays one after another.
idk why are you nitpicking about "pirated games". when a video about a game gets uploaded on youtube or streamed on twitch the viewer gets to enjoy the games content for free. Companies allow people to enjoy free content on youtube/twitch for the reason that it is free marketing. If they didn't allow people to enjoy the game without paying the gaming industry would be a mere fraction of what it is today. The most notable games that rose because of the free marketing are Minecraft and Among Us. These examples are the most notable because they were started by an individual/small group of developers. But also triple A game companies benefit from the free marketing. Because of the free content don't have to invest your money to access the content so many more people are willing to join in the community. The more people in the community the more they attract other people to join too.
These porn games developers are also considered indie games developers so they require as much free marketing as possible.

Piracy and people asking annoying questions are ubiquitous on the internet. It makes 0 sense to blame them for the porno game scene not functioning like a mainstream legit industry. Do you honestly believe porno games not lucking out and receiving a flood of supporters is because of discord shitposting?
When it comes to crowdfunding especially, spending money is not about getting the product itself but making sure it gets made. You think patrons of porno games are only playing games they're donating to and nothing else? Some people (me for instance) don't want to their a/c to be associated with extreme, even borderline illegal porno... and isn't able/bothered atm to have a separate one just for those purposes.
With 800 posts since 2018, it's not unreasonable to infer you have pirated some games yourself. So why this senseless, indiscriminate lashing out? Come on now.
Well, Henissart said the update will be released 2 weeks after the 25th september.. Any news ?

I think at this point you might as well start asking for the update in your letter to Santa and hope you have not been a naughty boy.*
I would be surprised if the release comes out this year at the moment. After so many "will need an extra time" all messages dev sent have lost their meaning. Might as well tell us it will be released sometime during this decade and it would still not be convincing. With this I am not claiming, as other, he had a diabolic evil plan to milk poor souls of their money. Simply that too many unfulfilled ETAs or announcement made all of them lose their meaning.

I may be naive but I think we ll have an update soon. Henissart is clearly a perfectionist so he has some difficulties to finish something, as he always feels he can do better. Also the more he waits, the more people expectations grows and the more he has to increase the game content not to disappoint them.. and this could easily become a vicious circle, quite stressful..
But after reading all his last posts, something tells me he finally reached the end of this update and he's polishing it right now. Just an intuition.. We ll see that in the coming days
