I cannot wait for the update fr its probably going to take something like four months and I just cannot stand not being able to play this game with new content, it is so good
Honestly, he gets his moments to shine and you're basically making sure he gets his with the Elden Ring Que-- I mean, Mikaela. So it's not like he's just dropped off and forgotten. So long as Chang the Conquerer gets his Conquest, it should be good.I wish we could do more for our boy. It is the same as in OIAL where I really wished The MC did more than just cash in favours
If there is one thing you could kinda complain about in Eternum as far as the characters go, its that Chang really is nothing more than a comic relieve so far it generally feels kinda...tacked on. Like he was there right at the beginning of the game and it felt like he would be a lot more important than (at least so far) ended up being.Honestly, he gets his moments to shine and you're basically making sure he gets his with the Elden Ring Que-- I mean, Mikaela. Well, he's in the gym scene, he's used for cutting off Dahlia's route if you tell him the password and break trust (then again, penetrating dat ass is a deal breaker too...), and he does ask you about gifts for his girl. He's on his own journey and pops up.If there is one thing you could kinda complain about in Eternum as far as the characters go, its that Chang really is nothing more than a comic relieve so far it generally feels kinda...tacked on. Yeah, he came up with the plan for the heist but even then we were more told that he made the plan, we didn't really see it.
Then again: I rather have more screen time for the girls then for Chang, to be honest.
well the only complaint I have with Eternum is comedy, Caribdis is many things, but a comedian is not one of them.If there is one thing you could kinda complain about in Eternum as far as the characters go, its that Chang really is nothing more than a comic relieve so far it generally feels kinda...tacked on. He does stuff here and there, but you could cut him out of the game without losing much apart from a lot of laughs.Well, he's in the gym scene, he's used for cutting off Dahlia's route if you tell him the password and break trust (then again, penetrating dat ass is a deal breaker too...), and he does ask you about gifts for his girl. And compared to Stabby Mike being so Deus Ex in OIAL, I'll take a good friend doing their own thing in the background than what was going on there.
I somewhat agree to this only because the story is thematically darker and a bit more serious compared to his last game, which could make some of the slapstick-level comedy feel out of place if you value consistency.well the only complaint I have with Eternum is comedy, Caribdis is many things, but a comedian is not one of them.
I don't think the Heist would go as smooth as it did without Chang. Also that event feels like foreshadowing to him eventually becoming the team's battle planner, which would be crucial if they ever decide to, I dunno, storm or infiltrate a few well-guarded places later on in the story? Like Ulysses HQ or Acheron, perhaps? He does stuff here and there, but you could cut him out of the game without losing much apart from a lot of laughs.
I found tons of larger and smaller jokes everywhere:I somewhat agree to this only because the story is thematically darker and a bit more serious compared to his last game, which could make some of the slapstick-level comedy feel out of place if you value consistency.
But I don't agree that Cari can't do humor. I laughed more than I should in OIAL, but I feel that the jokes land there more due to how the humor fits well with the Goonies-style tone of the story. That's not to say Eternum doesn't have moments where the humor lands, because there definitely are moments like that, at least in my opinion (e.g. Mr. Hernandez's threats, Chang's drama spiel if you reject him as a bestest friend, the Day of the Dead hot taco moment).
i swear to God I tried to laugh but I couldn't, the same thing happened to me with his first game too I couldn't laugh, which is weird because I'm a person who laughs easily.I somewhat agree to this only because the story is thematically darker and a bit more serious compared to his last game, which could make some of the slapstick-level comedy feel out of place if you value consistency.

nope, I still don't laugh at those moments, it's partly my fault. the kind of jokes I enjoy are in very bad taste and if I post them on the forum I'll probably get banned.I found tons of larger and smaller jokes everywhere:

But maybe that's just me.
That's probably cause this type of humor doesn't reach you, I can teel you that Caribdis can make Comedy and I say this as someone who find comedy rarely enjoyable as it can easily kill the seriousness in a story.i swear to God I tried to laugh but I couldn't, the same thing happened to me with his first game too I couldn't laugh, which is weird because I'm a person who laughs easily.

The game has made me chuckle and laugh on way more than one occasion, saying he can't do humor is pretty out there. I think Eternum has some great humor mixed in an otherwise darker, more serious themed game.
Eternum is unironically one of the funniest games I ever played...and I don't mean one of the funniest porn games or VNs, I mean one of the funniest games.
He does stuff here and there, but you could cut him out of the game without losing much apart from a lot of laughs.
I mean you don't have to force yourself if you don't find it funny. It's just that a lot of people do cite the humor as a plus so maybe the jokes are right up their alley more so than in your case.i swear to God I tried to laugh but I couldn't, the same thing happened to me with his first game too I couldn't laugh, which is weird because I'm a person who laughs easily.

He's probably just this guy:I mean you don't have to force yourself if you don't find it funny. It's just that a lot of people do cite the humor as a plus so maybe the jokes are right up their alley more so than in your case.
Kind of disagree? As Dorf is saying, he's an apt team battle planner, but is seen as a goofy sidekick. One thing that Cari is pushing immensely is that every person has their wheelhouse and someone capable of using ALL their talents to pull a heist is an incredible thing. He does stuff here and there, but you could cut him out of the game without losing much apart from a lot of laughs.
not exactly, but you know what kind of jokes I mean. Not enough kittens getting killed?
Again: The problem is, that we more get told about him having planned it than we really see him planning it (not sure, how you would even do that, but there is a reason I'm not developing my own games, I guess).Kind of disagree? I'm too black to wear that uniform in a non-ironic way. who do you think I am Uncle ruckus, no relation .He's probably just this guy:
I think the humor is more subtle than ya'll are seeing it to be.Humor
