I know the AI said the NPC's aren't fuckable but what do you guys think are the odds of getting a taste of Calypso?
She's a weapon and seems capable of independent action; maybe she isn't truly a "NPC" as we normally think of that - something with fully dependent reactions and no real ability to think, speak or act outside of a well defined set of parameters.

There's also that guy with a cheat that allows you to turn NPCs into fucktoys, so...

A lot of people seem to think that most game developers are just lazy, but the fact that they all take that long just means...well, it just takes that long to make a sizeable quality update.

That makes waiting for it not a lot easier though. :ROFLMAO:
Big-business game developers take years to put out unfinished products with many, MANY people working on them and charge top dollar. Do people complain about that? Absolutely, and if they pay for it then they have a right to do so if they think they're getting something that's not worth what they paid (I'm looking at you Cyberpunk!)

Most of the best games we get here are done by individuals, some with help from other like-minded individuals, and we get to see them grow in stages ... and a large portion of players on this site are getting to do that for free.

So while I understand the sense of impatience (which I sometimes feel as well) I will never understand all the complaining about how long it takes for these "chapters" to be released on this forum.

If Patrons or Subscribestars(?) or whatever people on subscription services or buyers of finished products want to complain, at least they're paying for the right to do so. The people who do so here need to take a chill pill ...

Believe it or not, but lots of patrons come from this forum. You can be a pirate and a patron, you can't support every games unless you're filthy rich. I myself support a dozen games I knew of here. This is my goto site to find that kind of games, and a lot of them are even free to play, some with just a delayed public release. Like Eternum itself...

That said, you can't really complain about this dev, he's very consistent with good practices. But a lot of other ones deserve the complaints, even from freeloaders.

I totally understand that. I just don't agree that this is the place to do the "complaining" ... if you want to vent, that's fine. I don't even care if you complain because because you want it faster. But if you're going to insult the dev because you don't think he's doing enough to satisfy you, at least do it on the paid forum showing you have a potentially valid reason for being upset.

My greatest fear in life is getting married before Eternum finishes and not wanting to cheat on my wife
Bruh, idk, OIAL didn't take that long anyway
I will gladly wait months for each update, they're always great.
Can you believe so much happened and we're not even halfway through the plot?... this game seems huge

PS: is playing a game cheating tho?

OIAL had a shorter story and had less focus on the overall cast though (there were only like 4 LI's that had significant character focus - Lauren, Judie, Rebecca, and Carla - while the rest had way less screentime and character development...but even with that said, there's a lot of group dynamics that were missing there as opposed to what we have now with Eternum), not to mention the scope ain't that large (An abandoned hospital, a short trip to Japan, and a haunted mansion ain't got nothing on a whole-ass Cyberpunk server, 2 Medieval Fantasy servers, a Mystery server, a Casino server, and a Historical Server. And that's not counting the short trips on some servers in 0.3) so the (/does some mental quick math) 1 year and 9 month dev cycle is understandable.

Earlier guess was that this game was going to have 2 more years in its life (with the game ending around 0.12 or 0.13). But with the recent comments of a Patreon supporter on Itch...

...yeah if Caribdis squeezes 2-3 updates that are similar to 0.5 (less story-oriented and more downtime/character-building/harem-building focused) then sure, I can see it go up to 0.14 or even 0.15 (so that's one more extra year). Highly doubt it'll go beyond that unless the current pacing suddenly slows down in the next updates though...or dev pulls out all the stops and turns 0.16 into one hell of a finale as opposed to what he did in the final confrontation between MC and Astaroth in OIAL.

I agree with you, I think it'll be another 3 years, give or take.
Keep people engaged might not be so hard tho, the game is ambitious as fuck and it's great, if there's someone who can pull it off it's Caribdis

This would be something that differs by each significant other. Mainly whether it is something you have to hide. If you can outright explain it and it is a non-issue, then absolutely not. Frankly I'd just say it isn't much different than a spicy television show that you want to see finish.

And of course this one we all can't wait to see finish while clamoring for more.
