I always see Nancy really high up on everyone's lists and I don't get it? I mean I get the older woman/was babysitter thing, but that's normally like 12 year old having a crush on a 17 year old babysitter or something.

Orion left Kredon at 8 years old, meaning in the babysitting flashback he would have been a maximum of 8 and Nancy would have been nearly 30. I mean I get it's a game and who gives a shit ultimately, but theoretically, doesn't that make Nancy a bit creepy?

This... kinda undersells her achievement. She's not just a figurehead empress of the WRE, we've since learned that she's very much involved in the day to day of managing her empire, self studying various topics such as economics and sea navigation all so she can do better..
This on top of her 9-5 work and managing the household.

The code is pretty dense, no spaces, so I think we can divide by 2 and get an approximate number of lines of dialogue.

Wow, that is really compact. I'm the complete opposite. Every single change of camera angle or change of speaker is double spaced and I have comments everywhere for sound cues to implement.

Oh, every developer has their own style when it comes to writing code. And while I have nothing against a dense code like Caribdis, sometimes reading the comments is more interesting than the game itself! But this game is definitely not one of them.

With that: 3387 lines of code is about 45 mins of play, so we're looking at quite a bit if Caribdis works so compactly and with no comments.

Oh, every developer has their own style when it comes to writing code. And while I have nothing against a dense code like Caribdis, sometimes reading the comments is more interesting than the game itself! But this game is definitely not one of them.

Test runs.

But they're not exact because, as the author, you know what's coming so it is hard to establish how long a person might look at a new render, on top of the time it might take them to read the dialogue.

Other option is Caribdis removes unneeded white space on release. I can't imagine that he finds 1 easier to read than 2. But hey he is Spanish (or so I've heard).
