what makes it NTR is the presence of girl cheating on you. NTR aka netotare is a cheating fetish. if girl would not do it with anyone but orion then its not cheating and its not NTR. that is where my line is. we simply dont see eye to eye on it so "agree to disagree"
Yeah fair enough. I think the clone isn't you, so therefore it is cheating. You think the clone is you, so therefore it is not.

We just have fundamentally different views of what clones are I think. We simply can't see eye to eye on this issue because of that. Like you said, "agree to disagree." Thank you for the conversation.

Cari describe well an Orion nightmare though, LI's leaves him and he is unable to do anything. It works sure, I hated it in that aspect. I think Cari did a good job at pacing it, not too long.

Hello. 0.7.5 version worked just fine on my old pc, but 0.8.0 just doesnt even appear in tasks when i try to launch it.
There is a new loading screen before the game launch, did it launch for you ?

I have to say you know how to make a good cliffhanger. A lot of devs just don't know how to do that properly so they leave you in a spot where you can't remember the story. But you always have a cutoff point where one can immediately jump back into the action.

well I just finished Eternum's update I liked the last one more. For me id give it something like a 8 or 8.5. For me I liked the sex scenes in the last update much more. My favorite lewd scene is mid compared to the ones in the last update. Pirate arc was probably the best part for me but the time loop also made me hate that part of the game at the same time.

Ainne did get better as a character but still my least favorite. The desert server arc i'm a bit conflicted with cause the action was great and the story revelation about the aliens was good. But otherwise didn't like that arc very much.

But the ending was 10 / 10 i'll say that much. I can't wait for the next more I think it's a better cliffhanger than the last one.

I'd prefer this, but I can't shake that line from Idriel when Orion 'dies' and asks her for help, "There's no coin here, no reset". That's pretty straightforward, it indicates some sort of time related magic.
Not really? The lines preceding this was Orion telling her that she's not supposed to be there as it's the real world, and not Eternum. She agrees to this, and also says it's the reason why he was going to die. In that context, "no coin, no reset" sounds more like he doesn't get second chances in real life unlike in Eternum where there's a lot of ways to survive and that he could deal with dying because it's his projection that dies, not him.

There's Orion's headaches when he sees a meaningful character like Calypso or the Founder
He never had a vision of Caly except a few that were shown with her in "weapon" form (that orb thingy that Idriel showed when she was doing that infodump about the weapons). His headaches of the Founder are less "visions" and seemingly more about the dead trying to warn him about him and telling him not to trust the guy.

The old man at VoTK knew he's blending in the crowd, despite Orion never been there before. I doubt he overheard any of their conversations prior, at least he's not shown in the background of any renders. Syndicate kid also knew where the gang was prior to robbing the bank, and their location was a secret.
Again, either they've witnessed it in person or they've seen every single possible future there is because they have foresight (or at least, they thought they did until Orion basically chose tails). Either could be true.

Then we have those mysterious renders in early chapters showing Orion staring at a copy of himself and the morgue render.
Part of me thinks it's cryptic symbolism of what will be (or what came before if you subscribe to the loop theory). There's a render there that shows Caly in "weapon" form similar to the Idriel infodump, yet when we bust her out we see she doesn't look like that. We see him bleeding with his powers activated while in a morgue, which could symbolize him surviving/reviving from his "death" with his powers (which he did technically). Now that I think about it, Caly being in those renders could also symbolize that his survival/revival was going to involve her.

Would be funny tho if this is the reason why Idriel thinks it's pointless to tell Orion shit, because most of what they see are cryptic bullshit to any normal person, and only someone versed in interpreting said visions would understand what they mean. Couple that with Orion not remembering his dreams, and it truly would be totally pointless.

If Idriel can reset time by a simple coin toss, that's pretty OP, but perhaps this is the last time she's able to do it.
I don't think she can do that. The infodump on Limbo makes it sound more like she is (or they are, if the Syndicate also happens to be there) in a unique position to view past, present, and future. Being able to project herself (or themselves) from there to everywhere, anywhere, all at once could also explain how she (or they) could seemingly pop in and out during convenient moments in the story, and why she (and/or the Syndicate) have some sort of prescience on events that would yet come to pass.

past, present, and future
I think you're on point with this. For the others who are interested in this limbo explanation I'd suggest looking up "Time as Frozen River". It's an metaphor describing spacetime and how past, present and future co-exist.

I am conviced Carbdis does lean on this for Idriel's design and the way she talks / foreshadows certain topics, especially in regards to choosing tails if the coin lands 99 times on heads before as a figure to break out of a loop.

Does anyone think that Idriel is the goddess Psyche ? That's also the reason why Orion dressed as Eros and Penny cosplayed as Idriel at the costume party.

Interesting. I’m 100% opposite. I though 7 was weak and 8 was a huge improvement, and I though the sex scenes is 8 were top tier while 7 was just mediocre. To each their own. Cheers.

I'm of the same camp. One of the best (if not the best) updates so far for me (even though it wiped 3/4ths of my theory board :HideThePain:).

And yes, I also liked the Stanley Parable section because I thought it was a creative way to showcase Orion's fears while giving him that final push to make him commit to his relationships. Plus it's also the one time his game dev/programmer background gets referenced again, which is something I thought Cari kinda forgot. :HideThePain:

You can't forget all the LI's confess their love. Oh man, they're so lovely.
Btw, I'm looking forward how Cari will do this for Penny now that I think about it.

Sometimes, while I'm creeping in here, I'm reminded why I usually avoid being too active:

Making jokes and discussing theory is fun, but then there's always the risk to stumble upon this kind of remark which painfully showcase how spoiled people can get.

That someone can call these scenes "mediocre" is beyond me.
Yes, 0.8's scenes are even better. But no, these scenes are NOT mediocre.

To everyone reading this, please stop being spoiled and learn to enjoy quality.
It's for your own good, you'll be happier in life.

please dont put words in my mouth, i did not say "i think clone is me". i was explaining that the artifact we get in eternum does not make clones and that through process it either create multiple versions of same guy (like naruto's shadow clone jutsu. they are not simple clones who once they die they vanish into non-existence. every shadow clone of naruto is actually a piece of him that gains experience and then when they disappear all the experience goes to original guy as if they originally experience it)
if orion splits in 2 and both versions do 100 pushups when they combine orion will feel like he just did 200 pushups. if orion gets cloned and they both do pushups even if you kill the clone orion will only feel like he did 100 pushups. that is very big difference. that is why i said its either both of them are orion or neither of them are orion. i never said "i think my clone is me"

what do yall honestly think of Thanatos?

1735469853194.png

Cause honestly for me his character is kinda getting stale and boring already. I get his supposed to be this intimidating and looming threat for Orion and the gang but I'm just at a point where every time he's mentioned or appears on screen I groan and say "ah shit, here we go again" in a disappointed tone. Learning his backstory in that one update was cool and all but he's a one trick pony for me as of now. He just appears, does some OP shit, kill someone (usually Jerry) then dips over and over again. Lastly, idk but the more I see him, he's kinda looking like a bargain bin yoshimitsu cosplay.

Don't know if my take is controversial or not, feel free to roast me if it is but Im just meh to this guy XD
