Use the juice to become the Founder and see where that gets you.
Use to turn into Thanatos and steal people's Gems of Doom with your 100% compat speed gimmick while they're shitting their britches.
The possibilities are endless and don't have to involve sex at all.

ALL story-heavy porn games will have big update intervals as their story advances. You need to consider branching, decisions made by players and loose ends needing to be closed. As well as devs improving their techniques and needing more time to render prettier renders.
In Eternum's case, you can be sure the wait will never be less than 7 months.

As an Occasional Unpublished Writer, I can confirm. If you've got a solid enough concept of your characters (and you should), then the plot follows naturally from their personalities and priorities and the situations they are in. It's called character-driven plotting, and it's wonderful when it happens.

Another way to think about this is with tabletop role playing games such as D&D. The DM can write whatever scenario they want, but the players still have agency to go do whatever they want in the world the DM creates. Sometimes they'll follow the plot hooks laid out by the DM, and other times they won't. An author gets the same choice as a DM in this situation: Do I railroad and force the plot to do what I want in a heavy-handed and artificial way, or do I let the players do their thing and just roll with it?

I would be very surprised if Patreon made this kind of exception. IMO, a smart creator wouldn't even try.

Ive never seen dev time decrease as releases increment.

Eventually you'll become largely apathetic, especially with VNs that reach annual release timelines.

Eternum is still undebatably my #1 but im about 7/100 (not a typo) on the hype scale. I dont think the update will be bad in the slightest, all the previous updates and Eternum itself is what I consider the perfect example of what AVNs should be, but at this point ive forgotten the near entirety of the current release.

Only replied because you mentioned BaD, my intro to AVNs and previous #1, and it made me reflect on how the update timeline of it made me completely apathetic. Never finished its most recent update and any desire I had for it, and the VN itself, died.

All that yapping to say the grass may not be greener when you stop ruminating over update timelines, but theres still some type of grass.

i quit tracking updates on avn's sometime ago. it is on my to do list i just haven't found the time. :) i like this AVN so i read the comment's and there is always one completionist <- (not a word until now. i just made it one ^^.) That point's out everything i missed and the time frame it took to get the next update. So i would like to thank the people that pay way more attention than i do and tell me about what i missed. As a result of that i am currently playing through from the beginning again. Doing my second playthrough of Black Myth Wukong ATM too. IT is Damn just damn!!!

Ergo, the story conditions us to think this is a plot point that will be explored. Whether that takes the form of more 'cheating' or simply a deus ex machina like before, no one can say for certain yet.

Cari already mentioned that the harem formation will be a lot earlier compared to OIAL, so it's likely that Orion will eventually come clean to the girls about what he's doing and what he actually feels for all of them. This isn't going to go like OIAL where the harem gets formed around the story's epilogue, as the harem this time around is built more like a sisterhood amongst the girls. It's also why there's doubt that Orion will continue with sleeping with people outside the harem, what with the heavy buildup towards it and all.

Yes, I know as of now, they basically access Eternum through OBEs, but as far as I recall they never said whether the Founder goes in full body or also OBE. So might be possible to travel whole.

Eternum is basically the Cariverse version of the Astral Plane, so access to it via OBEs will still be viable even when the VRMMO goes kaput.

That's not the issue, though. The issue is the fact that the VRMMO system operates by exploiting the dead currently trapped in whatever state they are at the moment and is seemingly contributing to the degradation of the servers by way of the players either introducing stuff that are not native to their environment (i.e. the Xenomorph infection) or making the servers seemingly go haywire due to their continued presence (i.e. the loss of one of the Wild West themed servers due to a zombie invasion).

Assuming that the game ends with the dead becoming free from their shackles, that alone would kill the NPC system since Ulysses won't be able to have full access to the dead which they can brainwash into being an NPC. Idriel will also likely leave with them as it's heavily implied from her dialogue that she is one of the dead being chained. And if the Idriel is Anima theory is true, then that also means that she is actually the reason why people can port in and out of many worlds as Caly's story about her mentions that she has the same abilities as her (albeit much greater than Caly's). If she goes away, no more Nexus, no more easy server travel.

At will. Immortals can come in and out at will, meaning they have control of that particular ability.

Normies can enter Eternum, but the normal way requires them to experience OBE via the trad methods like meditation, dreaming, or hallucinogenic drugs...or having a near-death experience. And even those are essentially unreliable, which is why the implant is essential to the Founder's whole scheme (as it allows them to jump in and out like how an Immortal would).

What, like being shot and almost dying? Something like that might make people reassess their priorities and whether or not they want to be mad about him sharing the love, so to speak, or decide that they want to actually be with him - regardless of whether or not they're the only one.

Something like that would never happen though, I mean imagine the guy getting shot an... wait.
