They still have to work for it
Of course. I guess we're thinking a little differently about "for the rich," though; I see that as meaning that only "the rich" can afford it, while it sounds like you're seeing it as based on the public perception. Fair enough.

Close. It's Nova, Alex, Penny, Cali, Annie, Dalia, Nancy, Luna.
Nova and Annie are the smalls; Luna, Alex and Dalia are the mediums; and Penny, Nancy and Cali are the larges.
I clearly misremembered Luna´s size. She does have one of those bodies that´s better than it seems at first.

yep,the update came out when chainsaw man was on hype
As a fan, I appreciate that reference.

Well,we are talking about 2035,not sure inflation would hit that hard, but it's still probably not that much compared to current times

Then, what stops adults from letting teens play when they are not playing themselves. IIRC,eternum doesn't link to exact person:unsure:
The neural implant is permanently linked to the user. That's why Annie couldn't let Orion experience Eternum before or why Orion can't let Chang into the game. Nobody else but the user can use their respective implant and connection

Either they are in too deep and haven't played the earlier part of the game or the game in general in a long asl time n forgot completely somehow, or they haven't played it at all lol. It was explained extremely early on that it's permanent. And it's kinda obvious & should be common sense. Just think about it for one minute lol. I urge you to replay it from the beginning, and it will be pretty self-explanatory on why it's permanently linked to whoever gets the implant, and just play for like one or two hours (without skipping). I think saying something like that definitely warrants a refresher, so you can be incorrect as little as possible in the discussions of the game. (Nobody is right all the time, but you can still do your best to be as knowledgeable as possible) :)

I like this game, because the story is awesome, the relationships and their building, the humour, the references etc, it is all quite well made. The only thing that I don't like are the CG models. I am not fan of this type of art that is quite close to anime design but still with more realistic shapes, but it ends up being in the middle of both. I could only imagine if this would have been done with other DAZ CG models, would have been probably the best game ever.

Provided it goes past 1.0 (unlike his other game), this will be one of the GOATS.
If it doesn't go past 1.0... it's still a great game, but way too short for the world it created.

Because as of right now this game is not even half finished considering the world-building he's done leading up to it.
Don't get me wrong, i'm just saying this because of fear of untapped potential.
Eternum is a great game, it would be a shame to see it go unfulfilled is all i'm saying.
Which i'm sure we'd all agree
Caribdis isn't DPC or Ocean. He's not the kind of dev who likes to explore plot threads and let that overtake his writing. Even when he was developing Once in a Lifetime without a full outline he eventually honed in on the Astaroth main plot while using moment-to-moment events with the LIs to keep things interesting rather than as vehicles for full character or lore exploration.

And while Eternum itself has a loose outline that gives him a bit more flexibility, said outline still exists and so far he seems to be more interested in condensing it rather than expanding. I say this because a few years back he mentioned that the game's length was going to be between 12 to 20 updates. Then he shortened that to between 11 and 16. Then 13-14. Until finally we have him gunning for 13 total.

Then there's also the fact that he mentioned on his Discord that he wants to have at least have 2-3 more games on his belt after Eternum, which goes to show that he's the kind of dev who's less interested in expanding the one hit game he has like other devs and more of the kind of dev who wants to tell stories that don't shackle him to a particular setting. He even mentioned that he's considering setting the next game in a different continuity from OIAL and Eternum, although jury's still out if that's a definitive or not since he also said he wouldn't mind having all his games set in a sort of MCU-esque continuity.

Let's take a page from the forum admin's book and stop this stupid discussion.
Literally not even gonna read that

Interesting then that few of the people we encounter there are rich. I'm sure Alex got hers for free or otherwise on account of being a Bardot, and MC and Nancy lucked into theirs free or almost-free, but Penny, Dalia, Annie, and Luna all presumably bought theirs at the regular market price (as well as Gertrude's husband buying two, and he has to be pissed at Gertrude and/or Nancy). None of them appear to be "rich;" they're all squarely middle-class, or perhaps upper-middle-class.

And even in 2025 dollars, $3500 certainly isn't cheap, but it's in reach for a middle-class adult who decides that's what he (or she) wants to spend it on. A teen or pre-teen? Maybe not so much.
$3500 is the cost of a very good game PC.
Costly, but not out of reach from someone who isn't dead broke.
It could even be easier for a teen that a young adult. Because a teen usually doesn't have to pay a rent, food, electricity bills... They can save all the money they earn by working during the summer and weekend.

Let's do not forget to mention Maximo. He started all this and supported her the whole time. Man of duty.
Doesn't Maximo have a family IRL, though? I recall that was his beef with the old emperor; he wanted to "clock out" early for some family event and the emperor didn't allow it.
Exactly.
Maximo is the one who put Nancy on the throne. And he is totally loyal to her.
But it's because Nancy treat him right.
As soon as she became the Empress and learnt he has something planned with his kids, she didn't hesitate at all and grant it to reschedule his shift.
