I just started playing 0.86 last week and don't know how far along I am in this version.
I have just finished the Andromedia and Mansion Party area and just met The Founder.
How much further to the end of this update, please?

At about 53% u still have 0.6,0.7 and 0.8 content left

Meeting the founder at the party is the beginning of 0.5 I believe.

So weird question... What would it take to get the character models? I really want to use the MC's head for a couple of personal projects. They would not be commercial in any way and I would be willing to pay for the privilege of doing so.

You'll have to wait until Eternum is completed. Caribdis shared the characters models of OiAL after he finished his first game.
