Man, stalling and replaying the game from scratch was definitely worth it. Sucks that the new version still seems far away, but the set up should be worth it. I mean, Luna definitely saw the inevitable threesome with Annie.
Really hope that the dev won't rush as much as he did with his first game. Because plot is good and all, but at the end of the day we are playing it for the PLOT.

Guys is there a progress update and estimated release date, you know rendering writing and those things for next update? And was there any talk about the next game after eternum? I know its early but im curious.

Last progress was...I think slightly over 60% or so...like 62%, I'm too lazy to search for it now.
ETA is probably somewhere around November with the public release potentially going into early December.
For the next game we only know that Cari already has ideas for it, but it will be years until Eternum is finished, so not much point in speculating about those for now.

OIAL had less planning involved overall so it's easier for Cari to rush things. Kinda harder to do that with Eternum since he has all the major plot beats from beginning to end written down this time around. Plus he was motivated to finish the former quickly because he was working on it on aging hardware (he was using a potato laptop and a slightly modded version of HS1 ffs) and he wanted to move on to a better workstation and a better engine with the latter game.
Also next update is likely dropping by November so it's not that far off tbh.

Yes, this is a mainly linear VN with some freeroam elements. It is by no means a sandbox game.

Hey I had a thought last night. MC won that artifact that splits him in two from the Among Us game. What do you think would happen if he split himself in two and logged off? Would the other one automatically rejoin him in reality or would it stay active in Eternum because its other self isn't around and can't rejoin with it?

I think the other would immediately disappear, since IIRC the bodies cannot stay too far away from each other

There was something in one of the early updates about a timeout and losing your stuff and maybe damage to your RL mind/body if you don't use an exit portal.
